Then the truck should have been repaired before it was moved. Good thing you stopped driving it, because if someone is convicted of violating an oos order, it is a disqualifying event. For a first offense, the disqualification period shall be no less than 180 days or more than 1 year.

I'm not even on the road yet and I get that, he doesn't appear to...He's more worried about his DAC than following the rules...

Why would you move a truck that has bald tires. May Truck wanted me to drop and hook with a trailer in Albuquerque NM, at the T/A. It had bald tire in 2 postions on the trailer. When I called them they ask if it had a inspection stamp It told them yes it did and they told me to load it and bring it to the Utah yard to get tires.

So I ask them again, what do you not understand about 0/32nds tread. I will not even hook up to it till I have authorization to buy tires, or you sendf out a tire man,

They bought tires, kept my safety check, When I brought it up they told me I had charged tire without authorization. The next time I was in Fontana I dropped the truck and trailer, ans sent a message via qualcomm.

2 days later they sent me the safety check and ask me to come back to work, just told thanks but I don't think so.

Never move a piece of equipment that is not safe, never.

Responsibility needs to be placed where it belongs, on the carriers and shippers, not on the shoulders of the lowest guy on the totem pole. Until this is done there will never be an end to HOS and equipment violations.
In the real world, for every driver who stands up and uses the most powerful word in the world, "no", there will be a dozen drivers who will take the chance. Why do they take the chance, they have bills to pay and mouths to feed. And that driver who said no, regardless of what happens, in the dispatchers mind, he is a "problem driver" not willing or wanting to work.
Many say to go find another job, but just how many carriers are there who don't bend the rules on a regular basis. Changing jobs every few weeks or months isn't going to look good on your employment record is it?
If the carriers who run junk and require drivers to violate HOS had the crap fined out of them every time a defect or HOS violation was found would see to it these things did not happen. If a shippers Bill of Lading showed a unrealistic delivery date and when found would cause a huge fine to be placed against them, it would take all the profit out of "hot loads".
Is any of this going to happen? nope. It would require new laws and regulations and guess who has all the politicians in their back pocket. It sure ain't that driver out there just trying to make a living.

Well I'd like to train you. Come ride along with me in the real world. What did they call that in W.W.2 thirty day wonders. Any buy way I never went to trucking school. I started out in a grain truck in the Midwest, then a Diamond Reo gas rig when I was 18. And I grandfathered into the C.D.L. deal. And I dispatched for four or five years then I was a mechanic at Kenworth dealership.Still have my truck tools, to heavy to move. Ok, your a student driver what do you want to know??:biggrin_255:

I know enough to never drive/ride with you, you've clearly stated you give into pressure and will run under unsafe conditions, you're a danger to yourself and everyone on the road...
