Sounds like it could be an expensive lesson then...What are the options?...Rush and possibly screw up until I have the experience to do it expeditiously or take my time and risk a wait?...I think that latter is more prudent and responsible if I'm placed in that position...

show up early.. and learn to blindside but take your time.. but most places you aren't going to take a bath if you miss. the best thing to do is be confident but cautious.. take your time but don't make a career out of it.. the more times you miss the more flustered you will get.. ask other drivers for help but don't ask arrogantly be humble... a guide goes along way with tight blindsides.

Probably quite a few....But the fundamental difference is, I'm out here doing it!

    You are not!

After you have been out here a while and have some actual experience dealing with all of the factors that you have no idea about at this time and have stood your ground and been able to run legal and do it your way, You will be able to say the things you say and actually have a little credibility in saying them.

    Until then...You have none!

    You're not even a newb!

You're a student, You don't even have a license and still you have the gall to come here and tell people that have been doing this for years what they're doing wrong!

Who do you think you are?

I've been out here for 38 years and have owned my own trucks for 36 years!

    I have never had a chargeable accident....Ever!

I haven't had a traffic citation in a truck in over 20 years and have NEVER been put O.O.S. for any reason!

When you have even a year or two out here without an incident...Get back to us and tell us how you do it, But don't insult the people that are doing it by telling us how you're GONNA do it and how YOU are somehow better than the rest of us because of that!

Because that's how you come off.
We are the experienced drivers here...
Try not to talk down to us and maybe we'll react a little better to your posts!

    >>>>You're a student, You don't even have a license and still you have the gall to come here and tell people that have been doing this for years what they're doing wrong!

Ummm, they admit it...If they don't want to discuss it, since I didn't bring it up, they shouldn't brag about it...

    >>>>Who do you think you are?

Someone who will question someone that openly admits to breaking the rules, that's my right whether you like it or not...And you don't have to be a trucker to do that...YOU of all people should be condemning those that do it...But maybe that's why they do, because people like you won't stand up to them and give them a pass yet you want to attack someone who's new and is trying to learn the right way, which happens to be your way...Your steam is misdirected, I'm not the bad guy, those risking your life and livelihood are...

I have as positive of an attitude as anyone. I learned so much from this forum in making my decisions and still do. But I have to say that where ever I look on this forum, you have been rubbing people the wrong way including myself.

You know nothing about this business. (After 7 months of driving...I know a Little but a ton more than you!). Use that approach when trying to learn from everyone on here and you will be much better off.

    Great quote blackw900!

Walstib, what the h*** IS WRONG WITH YOU?!! Yes, you! It isn't the drivers who are being wrong here. It is you! You have gone from simply stating you will run legal ,(which is noble, btw) to constantly denigrating the experienced drivers who are the ones who have been out out on the road. Please tell us you are not this ignorant! For the love of God man, drop this BS and move along!

I do not understand why you cannot get this inside your thick skull and comprehend why experienced truckers are fed up with you! It's not the fact that you say you want to or will run "legal"; it's your arrogant attitude towards drivers who have been doing this for a long time and know what they speak of! Get a ###### clue, will you?!

So right out of the gate I should be able to blaze thru it?...If so that's fine, but why would someone suggest it was a difficult task?...
