In other words, your either not really a ham and just aspire to be one, or, you are one, and are the subject of redicule by your peers. Cmon, whats to be ashamed of if ham is so great? Most other hams arent ashamed of their passion. Im going to guess, this is a deal with he is an outlaw himself on the ham bands, and is scared someone will call him two faced here. He doesnt even show his ham on eham.net. I smell a fraud.
WHY DO the HAMS always take over cb posts ?

Something else to ponder, what kind of ham spends his entire time trolling every website a radio post could be on, ie eham.net, this one, cbradiotalk, and so on being the morals patrol. If he was a ham, he would surely be spending that time on the air, talking to his pals, if he was a ham and had some, or, possibly teaching new aspiring hams the ropes. In other words, something alot more constructive then trolling!

Gadfly , CW Morse, Radio Ray, Giddup, is the same person who hangs out on truckers forums and radio forums. If the words trucks and 10 meter radio are mentioned in the same sentence you can bet you will hear from one of the above mentioned names. He seems to have nothing to do but put down truckers and ride up and down the interstate where he lives looking to turn in a driver to the FCC. He is a ham radio operator or at least he has a lic. He also sells his antennas the Carolina Cyclone on a c.b. forum. Gadfly is a retired rail road clerk, I have read his post on several other forums and its the same old song and dance but most have just learned not to reply. Oh by the way I know his call sign.
As for me I went and found a few local hams here in my area and told them I was interestred in becoming a lic. ham. All I got was go take the test and then will talk to you. I am currently studying to take my test but I will not be joining there club. There are 6 of us that are going to take the test at the same time. I think in my area its time for some young blood to try and revive the hobbie around here. As for those old c.b.radios that have 23 or 40 channels thats what i like to do, more people on c.b base stations here than hams. Stay safe out there. -
Its nice to see there are some decent hams out there then. I consider this gadfly guy nothing more then a cb rambo. Talks a big game, but doesnt want anyone to find him, as he would then be confronted by the actions of his mouth or fingers. I noticed he has grown silent. He must have moved on to another board until things cool off here. Someone really needs to take their meds!

Wait a minute, guns don't kill people but it sure makes it easier than running them down w/a knife.
And I am a liscensed Ham operator, KI4BDS, if you come to VA, look me down. Don't be too hard on Gadfly, he looks like agood church going boy.
He was right, dead right as he rode along, but he was just as dead as if he'd been wrong.

Well heck, hey Jason hows the antenna business goin out there? Must be awfully slow since all you have time to do is stalk cb'ers. Glad to know who ya are now. Care to enlighten us with more cb rambo rhetoric? Lookin forward to talking to ya on the waves and asking why you hang out down with the cb'ers so much!

I don't know anybody by that name. Gadfly doesn't "stalk" or "hang down" with the cbers. What *I* do is tell you the truth about the legal stuff. If anything, all I want is for illegal operators to stay OUT of licensed bands. Those who want a real radio hobby, I've have said more than once they are most welcome to study for the privilege.

The hobby I chose is the 11 meter band. I dont go on the ham bands but I do listen in to see whats going on. I have a Kenwood TS930S hf rig that I use to listen in on, my C.B. radios are all legal fcc type accepted. Now with all that said "YES" I used to run 10 meter radios and never had any problems with any one. I am also studying to take my ham license test. GADFLY or what ever you want to call yourself your beating a dead horse, give it a rest.
