This is a message for bettyann since I cant sent her a private message yet
Been hauling oversize and heavy equipment for almost two months now not working very much mad less than 3,000 in since I started in december. I will have had my license two yrs feb 1st and Crete is the only carrier I have hear almost no compaints against and I would like all the info you can give me on them. I applied for them at the same time I applied with my current company I called them up and told them I had taken a local job they said call them if anything changed but I wanted to hear from you first. -

Thanks for all this information. When I get finished with school and get ready to hit the road, I already have some good information to look for the right company from some of these threads.

It's tough to understand that. Are you saying that you do NOT work for Hunt, but are thinking about it? I'm trying to find anyone who currently works for Hunt, as I'm thinking about working for them. I'd appreciate any opinion on Hunt in particular (flatbed division of Crete) -Dave
Dave srry for any confusion no I work for a local machinery moving company and that I would like any info possible on Crete and Hunt and Bettyann says she is a recruiter I would like some more information on them. The people I'm working for supposedly need truck drivers badly I have work maybe three weeks total since I started. Anyway long story short I'm getting frustrated with them and am looking into going long haul again. -
Heh, my dad drives for Crete. He's midwest regional. He loves the company, and loves driving for them. But he has problems with his terminal manager. He's based out of Columbus and from what I've heard the guy is a total moron. So in my opinion, if you want to drive midwest regional, do whatever you can to NOT get the Columbus terminal. I'd go with the Indy yard.

I once had problems with the Wilmer terminal. But that was also just one person there. I had no other problems at any other terminal or with anyone else at the Wilmer terminal.
The only problem I had with CCC overall in about one year's time was the fact they liked to forget where I lived. I spent a lot of time back east while driving for CCC. The record for me was 49 days straight without getting by the house, and most of my other tours were not much shorter than this, at least before I joined the western fleet. I had to take a pay cut of about 2.5 cents per mile to get on that fleet, though. -
I guess that depends on who your dispatcher is. My dad is dispatched by Jeff at the Lincoln terminal and he gets home every Friday. But I figure that's because he only drives midwest regional. -
Can anyone tell me if Crete will hire if you live on the West Coast (I live in the Seattle area) or do you have to live closer to a terminal? The closest to me seems to be Salt Lake.
THANKS!
