Why didn't you get your CDL training for free using the job service your state provides? I used it and have my CDL with NO OUT OF POCKET EXPENCE and I don't have to pay a penny back. $6100! WOW!

You got some excellent parrallel parking advice from walstib
Try it just like that... line by line.
For straight line...
Catch the drift early watching the mirrors,
turn the wheel toward the mirror you see more trailer in,
most importantly - don't oversteer!
You should not turn the wheel more than the 1 o'clock or 11 o'clock position.walstib Thanks this. -
Hood River is a city in Oregon east of Portland on I-84. That narrows down which newspaper it would be. My guess would be The Oregonian...a liberal, overpriced bit of fishwrap if I ever saw any.
The story is BS. Anyone who has taken a life accidentally or nearly took a life is not so nonchalant about it. At leat, not someone who is human. Just because a person is disagreeable, doesn't make it easier for the brain to handle. Additionally, any company I have worked with or near will not place a rookie driver right back in a truck after such a horrific crash. No police officer is going to open up a collision investigation to the primary subject of the investigation for one. For another, there is no classification in law enforcement regarding fatality crashes as "accidental." That word does not exist in crash rconstruction lexicon.
Therefore, the teller of this yarn is FOS and needs to seek professional advice to figure out why such a story would be told in order to garner either attention or respect.
Onthefence: distract yourself from the paralyzing effects of test anxiety by imagining your tester in his underwear. It helps your mind realize he is just as human as you are. Lots of great information here. Good luck to you. -
I appreciate the advice, but the underwear trick is not relevant. I could care less who is sitting next to me, it is my lack of confidence that has me nervous.

Celticwolf....Do you have a link or contact for WIA? I fall within their eligibility parameters. Everytime I try to find info on it for Indiana it brings me to the WorkOne unemployment website. I spoke with someone from the unemployment office and they said the program here in Indiana is called "WAG" or Workforce Acceleration Grant and they said the program fell by the wayside..no money. If this is a federal grant I don't understand why I need to talk to the state about it.
Another thing I was considering is looking to a neighbouring state to see if they have any WIA funding as apparently Indiana's well has run dry.
I guess the gov't would rather pay people to sit on their behinds rather than get them trained well and quickly and become responsible taxpayers.
I see Mitch Daniels has trucking listed as one of the futures hot jobs to train for now.
Man, WIA would be nice..Between the 3 grand and selling my F150..I'd be about set for schoolonthefence Thanks this.
