Carlisle PA - DTB Radio -- Exit 52 on I-81 or Exit 226 on I-76. Address: 1900 Harrisburg Pike, Carlisle PA. (operates on channel 2) DTB Radio operates out of a brown building on RT. 11 (Harrisburg Pike) about 1 mile south of I-81 when taking exit 52. He not only does a great job with tuning and peaking (Super tunes for $40) he quarentees his work, IN WRITTING, for 30 days! Check out his website at dtbradio.com.

After having my CB totally butchered by the guy at the All American (exit 10 on I-78 in PA), I started asking everyone on the road with a "big" radio where they had their radio worked on. Of course many of them where from all across the US but a surpising number of them told me about this guy! So...after making dropping my last load in Pittsburg PA, I drove 120 out of my way to the East just to get to this guy! His work was worth every mile!!!

He tests ALL audio, "power", receiving, transmitting capabilities etc., right there in front of you. He doesn't just hook up to a mechine that no one can read, make a few "adjustments", and say...here ya go. If it's not what ya want, he'll get it where you want it!

After getting a "Super Tune" from him, my Cobra 29 LTD Classic is getting 4-6 miles in city clutter, 8-12 on the open hwy(with good conditions) and 10-18 in PERFECT (flat) conditions! That's a tune up!!! (before his tuning I was getting 2-3 miles).

BEWARE- THERE IS ANOTHER CB SHOP THAT OPERATES OUT OF THE "PILOT" OFF EXIT 52 ABOUT 1/2 MILE AWAY!!!! DO NOT MISTAKE THE TWO!!!

DTB is great, if you like to pay for your radio to be the same as it was when you took it out of the box. All they do at DTB is bash the other guys in the area. I've dealt with all 3 shops in Carlisle, Dave(Flying J) and Skip(Petro) are both good people and good techs. Make sure when you go to Skip you deal with skip though, his son works the shop too and he doesn't know a quarter of what his old man does and he tries to upsell everything he can.

    Remember ....

NONE of the shops are responsible for your radio YOU are so they don't care.
Modding any radio can and does cause problems and driving a radio hard shorting up it's life.

KERCHING .... thank you for your hard earned money.

I work on Part 90 radios and unlike PART 95 the FCC does care and could take my license if I really screw up. since no license is required to fix CB radios they have nothing to loose .... and your $$$ to gain.

The guy at DTB bashes everyone and is arrogant and rude to boot. I deal with Dave at the Flying J there at the boss truck shop. Nice guy, fair prices and no BS. He has the BEST selection of new radios I have seen anywhere. I was waiting for my truck one day and hung out there for an hour or so and I swear the dude must have sold six radios in an hour. I heard him tell a guy outside he sold 80 radios that week and he sits and does tuneups all day every day one after the other. I wouldn't go anywhere else.
