L/Os has alot to do with it. since i've started L/Oing, i've picked up probably close to 600 mi/wk. Before, i hardly ever ran up against my 70. Since going L/O....dont seem i can run a week without working up to my 70.....

I work off of rolling hours ... other than 4 days home time, the only two 34s I've had during the 9 weeks was because I was sitting waiting for freight.

i've taken one 34 since going L/O. After the fiasco last weekend where i actually sat for the rest of that sunday (thanx to memphis putting me into shop status just to bypass me for freight)....had i known i'd have been sitting for a full 2 days, i'd have taken my happy az to the house after my costco load to west des moines. Instead i asked for another load, a us mail load from Omaha to Bolingbrook, then bobtailed to the Gary terminal.

normally i dont run over 10 hrs. if i average 8-9 hrs a day 'worked', i'll never run out of hours. but then again, i dont like seeing anything less than 400 mi loads....but i'll take 'em.

i'm headed home next weekend for a couple days. after that, i'm going all 48, and coming off Great Lakes Regional.

More opportunity all 48. You'll get the longer trips. Plus with winter coming, occasionally you can get out of the snow. After dealing with Elk Mtn. earlier this week, I'm really enjoying being in NM down here on the 10.

As a company team we're still running 5-6 K average. We had a few less than that when I was ill and came off the road.

and being a platinum driver, i'll get to send in that macro that gets me 3 preplans sent to me, and i get to accept 1. so i'd look at how many miles...and where it was going. if i didint feel like running up north in the snow/cold, i'd pick something with enough miles that would keep me south. =)

i wish we had that option with flatbed their is no ranking, gold, platinum, bronze, just for us you take the load, if you refuse a load for HOS, and dont put exactly why you get a PCR. go figure. "but we are not forced dispatch":biggrin_25513:

You are an L/O - excuse me an I/C - now. You are a 5 Star. I'm just a 1 Star:biggrin_2557: ... No choices, but i've probably turned down a half dozen loads because they were not going to work out from a revenue/time utilization stand point.

But, I've also taken some loads to help the planners/DMs out, when they weren't optimal for me.
