That's quite true and I wouldn't work for one of the big boys, cause I ain't riding shotgun in a rig with some punk who just got his CDL last year. I am not going to die in a bunk going off a cliff or getting in a huge wreck, cause someone didn't know what to do or bailed out.
That's why I work solo, line or local. I didn't get this far to check out cuase some newbie lost control at the wheel.
Push comes to shove I'll drive a forklift (have an OSHA cert.) or push a broom on the dock, rather then sign on with one of the giant freight carriers.
Not that they would want me either, because like you said, we know all the BS they are so good at lying about, with the fresh meat.
Werner rejected me, lol

Two tickets in four years isn't that bad as long as they are under 15 over limit, as far as I know.
What exactly were your citations issued for, IRT speed? -
That car just didn't drive no 55 miles per hour back then. -
They can start them off at .25 cpm. Jerk them around. Cheat them out of detention, and layover pay. Intimidate them, lie to them.
Piss on bottom-feeders. -
you have 2. -
So you talk trash about the company because they want someone with a good record? I applaud them for it.
TruckerDragon Thanks this. -
I was, on a mission, going down hill, with the wind at my back! :^)
Both were out in the sticks with good weather, great visibility, and no chance of cross traffic. Cops hiding with radar....
And interestingly this has not affected my personal insurance rates one eye-ota, just my ability to bring home the bacon. -
So, Markers, how did you do that?
"Do what"? (I answered for you there)
How'd you get your 6 awesome years of experience WITHOUT ever having been a newb, either out of school or otherwise?!!!! -
You have 2 Tickets & all over the road Co. go back at least 3 years if not more, they cant insure youyou need to stay at the job your in and wait it out
TRKRSHONEY Thanks this. -
If was was looking for an OTR gig, Werner would not even be on my list of companies to apply at. I'd rather dig ditches then soil my record with them on my resume.
They are one of the worst of the worst out there right now and they have been for years. Even Swift and Hunt are far better then driving for Werner.
