Well all i can say is everybody missed the point of the whole post.It was a warning about a company that will deduct the same charge from you four times and every time you call they say Oh sorry, jezz how did that happen again, shucks. But you know we will give it back, the problem is when we did this we didnt get your plate or insurance payment so,you know you are in the Hole now $500.00.Oh and dang we also forgot half your trailer lease so theres another $350.00,lets just round it off to 800.00 since we screwed up.We can work this out though,we will just deduct 700.00 a week out till we get caught up,OK?Three months later are we Caught up?NO! Now there has been another mistake, like whoops we overpaid and forgot to take out for permits on that load three weeks ago.You now are down 1400.What how? well we overpaid 900 and the permits were 500 so that makes 1400.When did you pay me 900 i ask? Oh well settelment 55555.What? I never seen that.OH,you didnt?well i could have sworn we sent it to you,but here you go ill send it e-mail.I look and still dont see it so i call, where is this 900 at?Oh well look at the top of the settelment, see where it says bmk add 900 ded? yes i say.Well there it is.Wait a minute there is still 0000 at the bottom for a check so what happened.Oh well because of the past mistakes we made we are still trying to catch you up so it got absorbed. So with this 1400 added,oh my you are going to be about $5,000.00 down. Are you guys (Cpape-mgfg) getting the picture now? This all started with the first loan of 4,000 and never ended.I have been getting tapped for around $650.00 to $1200.00 a Load after my fuel advances for 9 months. All the brokers i have worked with here will tell you that i have done some amazing numbers with them this year.Cash flow? You bet straight to Universal.

I worked for a sister company of Universal. The deductions are insane. It didn't take me long to figure I made a mistake and moved on.
-
Im a little confused, let me see if i get this right.. You take a truck that needs repairs to a company and ask them to fix it? is that right? If , so i think your wrong for that. Thats like me askin you for a loan , so i can fix my truck.
-
I have seen this time and time again with truckers. I can't understand it. Maybe they were left on the bottle too long as a baby. Maybe they were the ones in 4th grade that sat inside and cried in the corner when the other kids were out on the playground enjoying recess.
I digress. Look here. It's YOUR responsibility to get YOUR bills straight. It is NOT Universals responsibility or anyother trucking company to TAKE CARE of YOUR BILLS!!!!!!!! They tried to help you out and you sit and whine and b!tch about it?????
Good grief man what if they just plain said no? What if they said YOU TAKE CARE OF YOUR BILLS then call them back. This is a bad company because YOU can't balance your checkbook or you can't add 2+2? I sincerely hope you get straight. It's going to take a lot more than a lawsuit to get what's wrong with you straight. -
No RickyBobby,I broke down in the middle of nowhere and had some but not all to fix it.read the post,it may be alittle confusing but i am not a happy camper right now.

How about this sixdogs....You forget about your dealings with Universal....you go back to company driving and when you get enough money to fix your truck and get enough to cover YOUR expenses then get back to being an O/O.
I broke down in Searcy Arkansas a few weeks ago. My truck was dumping out antifreeze by the handfuls. I called the company I had my truck leased on to and they gave me a couple of numbers to call to get someone out to fix it. I was thinking it was the water pump. The manager at the company I was leased to said just fix it and call us for a comcheck. I said NO!!!!!!!!!! It's my truck and I will pay for it. I got the work done and luckily it was just a radiator hose. The guy that fixed it said he would mail me the bill and he did and I PAID FOR IT WITH MY MONEY.
That is the OLD SCHOOL way to do things. Your not OLD SCHOOL my man. Your wanting to blame and whine. You should be a company driver if your that bad with finances. The system is meant to weed out the ones like you.
Yes I'm heading there for orientation. I will do better there than where I was. I averaged $850 a week at the last place. If I don't do better then I can always go back to company driving. I will promise you this....I won't be on my hands and knees begging Universal for a loan like a begging dog....You have an appropriate name. Your whining reminds me of my Boxer dog Rexy I used to have. Don't worry I'm LMAO at you too dude. -
Well dave 0755 you sure told me.The last company you were with offered to pay the bill so you werent stranded?Take it out of your Settlement? What a bunch of no good people. How dare they care about their owner operator who is making them Money.Might be a waterPump, around 1300 dollars and they were going to help?Bad people. The guy who did the work Billed you? What you didnt have something set aside in your pocket to fix it?HUM?You my friend are headed for a Heartache at universal but you know what?
