John welcome back hope u have fun well I'm sitting here in wendover nv won some extra cashtoo I deliver between 8am tp 2pm but ill be there before noon all I know is I like the company so far except the payroll part but I know she's knew and gotta get used to but this is week 2 it didn't go in but what I wasn't told that it took up too 2 weeks to get the deposit setup but other than that things are good I got the truck it had 199355 on mileage right now I just hit the 208000 mark so I said I'm dng aight since I started on oct 20 and john hope u had a good time with all the tropical storms and hurricanes but give me a call tommo sometime c ya all

Well this week has sucked major atleast I'm getting layover pay for it I got unloaded Monday in fernley got paperwork sent off well here how the story goes I got a load from cornell wi to deliver to fernley nv on 11/10 I picked up this load Friday at 1500 I told louie ill have it delivered on Monday 11/08 between 8-1400 like broker wanted I got there around 915 with snow abd all coming thru winnemkucca and elko what fun was that I told louie I was empty Monday at 1045 our time he told me to head to santa nella instead of to the house he said call him when 34 hr was up so I did on wensday now here is where it got frustrating I was the first truck at the truck stop empty couple hours later here comes a few others now there are 6 totoal I was the first to get my 34 hr in I called louie to tell him I'm ready to roll he said well nothing yet to get back to him I go to check with the other drivers and they all had loads except for me so I wait tell after lunch to call again louie goes aren't you at home I said no u told me to head to santa nella instead well for some reason louie never updated the computer to show me empty on mon it still said 11/10 so now I'm stuck here tell Friday when id rather been stuck at the house for a week when I was only 5hrs from home but wasn't allowedto head that way but I guess they have a senioriaty or suffin over here causse all the driver that was here longer then me got loads before me but atleast I made some money with layover

 

just wanted to say it was good working/meeting you all due to some problems with miles and the shop i decided it was best to walk away.. in 2 days i ran 200 miles not really good for my pocket then sat all day for info on a load i was going to get and never got that load so would have been 200 miles in 60 hours.. then as some of you know the steering fell out of my truck last week and nothing was done as far as discipline to the mechanic that didnt do his job correctly .. i lost 2 days worth of pay and he lost nothing.. johnboy would have talked to you a bit but just wanted to get out of there. i am not sure what has happened in the last month but since i raised some questions about matters with the shop i have been dropping in miles every week,,, best of luck to you all and hope we keep in touch

 

is Jrotra, the driver out of Inverness still employed with Calex? Haven't heard a thing from him since he started with you guys, that can be a good or a bad thing, maybe they're running him hard, or maybe he didn't stick around. Either way just looking for an update.

 

Hey Johnboy which microwave did you pick up for the truck, I was looking at the little emerson model over at walmart i'm thinking that will fit the cabinet. Thanks....Al

 

This kind of stuff happens with smaller companies. I didn't stay long with these guys for safety concerns. I did not like the safety department at all.
