Are we talking about the same New Century Trans. out of Westampton, NJ? If so I never knew they dealt in tanks. Whats the scoop?
-
Yes, out of Westhampton.
I'm tryin to find out the scoop myself.
Don't know nothing about these guys. -
Didn't even know they ran tanks ????? I know every one of their van drivers I've ever talked with had nothing good too say about the company..
-
I know their van drivers run a lot of canada. I have also never seen any of them pulling tanks. There have been a few threads about their van division on here and they didnt get the best reviews
-
nct runs tankers for air products. they may have been awarded more freight. or maybe another customer. not sure where you live but it could be worth looking into.
-
Yeah ive seen them pulling those roberts air tanks. I also saw they had a bunch of fliers at the pilot in pittston looking for tanker drivers so maybe they picked up a new account

I've heard a lot of good about new century but because they're going public makes me think the good may not last too long now that they've got to "satisfy" the share holders. (see below)

New Century Transportation Plans IPO
New Century Transportation became the latest trucking company to plan an initial public offering, news services reported.
The truckload and less-than-truckload carrier said in a regulatory filing it hopes to raise up to $120 million in an IPO, Bloomberg reported.
The Westhampton, N.J., company was founded in July 2000 by Harry Muhlschlegel, according to its Web site.
New Century expects to trade on the Nasdaq market under the symbol NCTX, the Associated Press reported.
Last year, the company lost $5.1 million, compared with a 2008 loss of $1.2 million, AP said. Revenue fell to $203.1 million from $229, and the last time it posted a profit was in 2005.
The company had about 400 trucks and 800 trailers as of last year, according to American Trucking Associations fleet data.
Earlier this week, Panther Expedited Services said it planned an IPO, following Roadrunner Transportation, which went public in May, and Swift Corp., which filed for an IPO last month. -
fyi, the ipo has been put on hold for now. hard to ipo a company losing money in this economy. also investment group, jeffries partners has had 5 menbers on board since they dropped a big investment about 3 yrs ago. right now i think things are just day to day till they tweak the battle plan for future and survival in these economic times.

Just today I noticed NCT pulling an Air Products trailer through town here. Up until recently Trimac was pulling Air Products trailers, and had a little terminal just south of Tamaqua on Route 309.
