exactly and let me tell you why he was at the end nice because I had a talk with him made him figure out that He made a big mistake
because I told him about all his BIG Mistakes He himself did during the training
including talking to his girlfriend for hours while driving and He almost killed a dude by changing line (going to right) without looking He was talking and turned right signal and just turned and I was screaming ahhhh you know why because he almost killed someone on the right side the poor guy ended up driving on the shoulders and BRAKING in Interstate (now if I was a bad guy I would of wrote his License plate for future reference but I didn't think about it
do you to know something else while correcting himself almost commit another accident now do you think Safety Dept in the company will be happy if they hear this and other like asking me to speed in a work zone and driver 25 miles over the speed limit and told me you have to go with the flow and He himself always drive over the speed limit for him speed limit is where you start not where you stop speeding and believe me I have a very good proof since the Qualcomm the GPS little machine always put him over speeding and He took it to the shop He said it is logging him over speeding 56% or so and that not correct ( well daaah you over speed all the time) by the way the corrected the problem and guess what happen after that still it logs him as over speeding
I have more He told me to use the trailer Hand brake to test the connection Btw king pin the 5 wheel and use it to kind of brake if I am in mountain going down hill and I did but told me days after that it is against company policy :)
more to come and the list is long ...believe me
well do you know why he was nice at the end ...because I told him about all of this and I told him do you think now I am obliged to tell the company about it ....( by the way when I asked him why did you tell them He said because I am obliged to do so)
He stood speechless I told him don't worry I am not the kind of guy who goes in your back and talk about you I believe #### happen and if it is not a mistake you are always doing it is not a mistake worth mentioning especially if no harm have been done and no bad intention
so I told him I am not going to tell them about your mistake but my point is do you think now you should be obliged to tell them yourself about your mistake if you are honest and really want to be good for the company go and tell them about it
    and He again stood speechless
that's why when he talked to safety he said in front of me I have a positive recommendation

after everything finished went back to him and told him well rob I would like to thank you for screwing me and screwing my life and left and then get back to him and told him and just to let you know I didn't tell them about your mistake just so you know
now that's why He was NICE
    But still He IS STUPID

I stand corrected. If your trainer was doing all those things, then your trainer sucked. Again, sorry you lost your job but as other mentioned you'll find another one. Probably a much better one. Good luck.

tell you the truth I thought it is a left turn because I stopped and parked for 15 minutes and when I did I made sure I turn to the best of what the lot or the place can permit and then I did a left turn
in the company handbook if you get lost or missed exit you look for a place (lot ) yard ....etc to make your turn in and then you can go back.
the thing is that the turn has to be inside the lot or the parking area mine was half in the parking place which was a little bigger then a shoulder but yet not big enough to be able to do a complete turn inside it
    and that's why I really didn't think or know I was doing a U-Turn
Like I said to the safety Department do you think I am stupid enough to blew my self 4 hours before the end of the training by doing a U-turn and in front of my trainer doesn't make sense

at the beginning of the training he broke the emergency Glad hand connection on the trailer we were picking up
do you know what he did he took it off place it on the trailer we dropped off and took the new glad hand from it and place it to the trailer we picked and just drove he didn't call or mention anything about it , letting the next driver who will pick up the trailer figure it out and waste time by calling the company so they send someone to fix it :biggrin_25513:
He uses the Qualcomm while driving because if there is two driver the Qualcomm doesn't shut down ( that's against company policy and quit dangerous since it is as bad as texting while driving)
and believe me the list isn't finish

many drivers WILL swap out parts. this is a sad fact, but it is done. then of course as you say, the next driver has to stay put until a repair truck comes. let THAT be a lesson to you as well to completely check out your entire trailer before up hook up to it. i find the stories you tell about 'Rob" to be somewhat 'normal" for some trainers as well. they will cover thier arse but turn in the student in a heartbeat, and the company will usually always LISTEN and BELIEVE THEM over a piddly student.

you could have reported 'Rob' long before anything happened, but that's hind-sight now as we all know. some trainers WILL have your back and not say a word., but still chew you a new one for it, as i think i would have. but in any event, we all still think you will make out very well after this, just please be sure to be VERY CAREFUL if ever again you need to make any such maneuver again.

it's NOT a recommended maneuver, but if any one of us say we never did it.......well.........someone ain't telling the truth......

My guess is there was another issue and they just used that as an excuse. The rat could of said something else and they conjured up a story for you.

It's behind you, look forward. There's others that will hire you.

Thats been Werner's policy for YEARS!!!! and i guarantee you they told YOU several times in Orientation about said policy.I drove for Werner in mid 90's and it was policy then. But i have to laugh you said and i quote..."I guess he wanted to screw me" now thats pretty funny actually i'll bet he didn't give two you know whats whether you messed up or not. How about taking a little ownership of the mistake and quit playin the "I'm sorry he did it" card. You screwed up mistakes are made and move on. go find the thread just a week or two ago from the May driver that screwed up and copped a plea with the company and on this board and it saved his job.

U-turn (y[IMG][IMG]tûrn[IMG]) n. A turn, as by a vehicle, completely reversing the direction of travel.

How do you not know you made a U TURN ? Trainer sounded ( your version ) to be a real winner but then his might be different.

I agree about the u-turn policy. I went through orientation and I couldn't count how many times they said no u-turns. And a situation happened where someone did it and it caused a fatality accident.
