The only boy on the docks is me... almost every customer I have gone to stands there and watches me get it off the trailer....
I looked at the three 1 piece stops there all couches so yea I need to back in lol
I should be able to get it done but I know how well things work out for me when time is tight lol

I hear ya. Just do whatever is simple enough to get the freight off the trailer without hurting yourself or damaging anything. Dont be afraid to put some limits on the customer as to where you'll put stuff if they're not willing to lend a hand. You're on a schedule and not their employee to take it way beyond the doors, through the hallway, up the stairs behind the corner and stacked behind 5 other couches. That type of stuff leaves you wide open for damaging their property inside which will end up having the customer try to leave W/S liable.
I started with W/S and have been working LTL ever since, lazy customers will try to get the most out of you for free. The trick is telling them no while keeping it polite and corteous at the same time. The Challenger, Wedge and American-Trucker Thank this. -
I take it off of the trailer...thats it! Unless they ask for anything more then I'll help them.

AT already edited it.
Though we all know it wasn't posted in malice, but still a good idea to not post truck numbers. One never knows when they might run into that driver at one of those many truck stops out there.sammycat Thanks this. -

I know you are not suppose to post truck numbers. Same with being careful about the company stuff and how much personal info-who knows who is reading this stuff. -
So just like I figured somthing went wrong with this load lol
Time was VERY tight as it was to try and do 10 stops in one day, but I thought I might be able to pull it off......
So my first stop opened at 8am so I get there at 7:30am thinking I can get there back in and be all ready when they are, well an Ashley Furniture driver was thinking the same thing and he spent the night backed into the dock lol But he only held me up for about 15 min so not that big of a deal..
Then I get to the next stop (here's where I made my mistake) I let the customer hold there paper work (because even if I try to check the stuff off myself they end up taking it from me because they wanna see what there getting) so aparently these 2 guys don't know there product very well and were telling me I was missing 2 pieces. Well all I could see is 25 couches and then a bunch of boxes in the nose....they say were NOT getting any couches......Well the paper work Clearly said 1 COUCH and 1 MIRROR, well they tell me I'm missing 2 BIG Dressers, and I can see that there not in the trailer. So I can Dispatch no answer then I try like 10 other people and then after 45 min of phone calls and my head being about to explodethe customer comes out (this time its the manager) and he has the paper work and says I need 1 couch and one mirror....and I'm like OHHHH OK here they are! haha So all in all 1 hour wasted there
Then the rest of my stops went fine no problems and was able to make up all my lost time BUT I still wasn't able to get to the last 2 stops They both would have had to stay hours late. And out of my 11 stops only one has an appointment time and thats the one for tomorrow, so I call them and the customer says "no problem we dont do appointments we receive 7:30am-2pm First come first serve"
So they basicly saved my butt on this one, I'm right around the corner from my next stop, and there all 5-15 minutes apart from each other and I only have 3 left, So I'm hoping by noon tomorrow to be empty.
Did anyone else Volenteer to stay out for Christmas???? I did! I like the sound of $500 Cha Ching! plus whatever miles and stops I do
