and i'm not really sure about your story with the cop and the weed? i know i'm not going to convince anyone on here to agree with me, and if any of you are thinking i'm some brain dead 23 year old idiot pot head you're sorely mistaken. i smoked weed when i was 13 and just didnt wanna do it again, i never drink, at all, not even a little wine. i dont smoke either. i bought a house when i was 20, i'm in a good spot with my life.
anyway the point of me telling you guys that is so you dont think i'm some loser living in my moms basement trying to tell you guys weed is so totally cool man. i'm a very firm believer in personal rights and freedoms, if someone wants to do a little bit of drugs and it doesnt interfere with them working safely then i dont see what the problem is. and if any of you guys demonizing weed or drugs and you drink, you're a hypocrite. just because our wonderful government says its ok to do it doesnt mean it's not one of the most dangerous drugs. because thats all it is.

every one of my friends that smokes weed can drive just fine
Based on WHO'S opinion ? -
-
oh, thats my opinion. sorry you asked who's opinion. i cant speak for anyone else's opinions.
again if you've never smoked weed, you really dont have any basis to form an opinion about how potent or bad or dangerous it is. -
I have.
My depth perception was shot to h*** and I was cotton-brained for almost a week after the high wore off. You go ride around with your doper buddies. I'll be the designated driver for my alcoholics.HEAVY DUDE Thanks this. -
If you have never driven a car at 120 mph, then you don't know how bad or dangerous it is.
If you have never jumped off a 10 story building, then you dont know how bad or dangerous it is.
If you have never been stabbed by a knife, then you don't know how bad or dangerous it is. -

TRUST ME! i did my part, i voted to decriminalize weed in massachusetts, AND THE VOTE PASSED. LOL. now if you have an ounce or less on you its a 100$ fine and it doesnt go on your record. and if it ever comes up to be completely decriminalized i will vote for that too!! once again for the record i dont smoke weed!!!! I'M FOR PERSONAL FREEDOMS AND LIBERTIES! maybe you dont respect what our founding fathers thought about that, BUT I DO! go head, have a drink with your buds and talk about how bad weed is. -
You are correct people should have the freedom to engage in any behavior as long as they can cause no harm to another through their actions or inaction's.
We would all agree pot smokers are not known for their speedy reflexes. As a result the public has determined if you pursue a career that may require rapid thinking and reflexes you should not utilize a substance known to decrease both.
You can not operate under the influence of alcohol, cocaine, pot, heroin, etc. etc. there is no exception for any of them.
Now some take longer for the body to metabolize so using them may require extended periods of removal from work to avoid being found with a banned substance in your system. -
Sucks for the guys that got booted. Can't imagine anyone interested enough in driving school that doesn't know to be clean before you start.
I witnessed the "half the room clearing out" scenario when I went to school in 2003. The instructor said "ok, we'll do some paper work then go over to the clinic and do your drug tests". This lady looked at me and whispered "Drug test? I did coke yesterday!". I don't know what she wanted me to tell her. Needless to say, she left right then.
I smoked pot in my teens and drove my car around the boondocks. I'm also ashamed to say I've driven drunk before too. Lucky to be alive and without a criminal record. One thing I can say for sure is it's a lot safer... SAFER... to drive high than drunk. That said, anyone who thinks pot doesn't alter your perception and performance is lying to themselves.
