your telling me, I figure I wont get a QC message with a load until 9-10am so by then I'll have been here 72-73 hours. I have like 10 DVD's in my truck and I've watched all of them at least three times each since I've been here
By morning I think I will be able to act out most of them
. The people that work at this T/S know me quite well by now, But at least I'm not the only one allot of the other trucks here got here within the next few hours after I got here Friday morning and there still sitting and they work for companies with 24/7/365 dispatch lol at least W/S drivers have an excuse for occasionally sitting on weekends or at night...
American TruckerWedge Thanks this. -

If I don't hear anything by 9am I'll send a QC message and then if still nothing by 10am I'll call. I'm sure shes gonna have a ton of work to do when she comes in lol I can't be the only driver in her area sitting.
and I'm dead serious I really could act out these movies lol
I think I'm gonna need a TV if I'm going to be sitting like this all the time. I don't want to lose my mind and Start thinking I really am McLovin

That's the problem with driving over the holidays, especially when the holiday is toward the end of the week. You may have a load that needs delivering on Friday or Sat, but getting something before the next Tuesday is hit and miss, mostly miss. What you are going through is what makes a mileage pay holiday bonus hard to get.
PS, if you haul enough NYC and North Jersey furniture, you better get a calender with all the Jewish holidays on it, or you will sit a lot.American-Trucker, wulfman75 and The Challenger Thank this. -
Jewish Calender? Not sure what you mean...
American Trucker -
In North Jersey, parts of Philly, NYC and the Boroughs, many of the mom and pop furniture stores are run by Jewish people. They close on every Jewish holiday. You need to know which days these are, and who your customers are, or you will sit and wait until their holiday is over. I soon learned who closed and who didn't with the customers I delivered to, and left home on my deliveries accordingly.
A Jewish calender shows their holidays.wulfman75 and American-Trucker Thank this.
