Squat test USXPRESS

Well just letting you guys know about USXPRESS. Went to USXPRESS because they are no other jobs besides truck driving jobs and no decent team companys in the N GA area besides Rosedale and Kennesaw Transportation and there not hiring. Went thru orientation on 1st day and I admit Im a big boy and Im working my weight down but by DOT standards im elgible to be hired. My blood pressure, pulse, vision, hearing, drugs in my blood all turned up good. Get to a step test were I act like Im stepping on back of trailer bumper and I do good there. Then I get to this squat test, the rules are they got this rope above your head you get down and waddle like a duck like your walking under a trailer. You are not alowed to hold on to anything and your head is not allowed to come above the rope or bump the rope. If you do manage to hit the rope like me or your head comes up over rope just a little you get a second chance. If you do it again and fail they send you home like me . Anyways this happened in Tunnel Hill terminal, I dont know how other terminals are doing there tests and how picky they are but thats the way they are in GA. Wanted to give you the heads up because you know if you are not hired on with USXPRESS and you bussed in, drove, fly or whatever your not going to get reimburssed and you are not going to be given any money to get home. Luckily I lived near by so I just left. Good look to my fellow fat and tall drivers!!! Remember if you want to practice try doing it under a regular trailer without using your hands and you know if you will fail or not.

 

Yeah I looked. I was looking for something regional around the house. Not to many good options. If you got any ideas let me know. As for jobs that doesnt require trucking there isnt any around here because the town has got around 20% unemployment. Carpet has about went bankrupt here in Dalton. I know of some good companys were you stay out 2 or 3 weeks but I was looking for something to get me home a little more often.
