WOW! Someone opened up a controversial thread!:biggrin_2559: BubbaLou's Bodacious BBQ! Sorry they are only down here in Orlando! That would be number one! As for over the road experiences it really depends what region of the country you are in. Kansas has some good stuff but so does the NC. GA and SC! There's Bill Millers in San Antonio little secret place off i-10 with some dirt lot parking next door. Don't waste your time at the pig place in OK. It sucks. They have a lot of truck parking though! If you can bobtail to the Stockyards in Ft.Worth they have a few killer joints! Not far from the Sara Lee plant. There are a few good ol' mom and pop stops in La. and Alabama. Though if you go in there you will smell like a carnival for a week!

Is that the small place out by itself just south of the big road?

    Killer brisket and ribs!

Used to be a guy down hwy 59 south of Houston that cooked in one of the small rest areas.
He sure took care of truckers....piled the plate so full it nearly broke before you got back to the truck.

That would be the one. It has truck parking right off to the side so you can get in easy and the food is freaking AWESOME!

Try the Petro in Portage WI, the fuel island, back by the coffee! Just sits in a pot all day long, getting better and better by the minute! Pulled pork sandwiches that you assemble yourself, but, dang, it's good!

My mouth literally starts watering when I get within 100 miles of it.

My brother is on one of those teams and has a restaurant. His ribs came in 4th at rhe Jack Daniel Invitational and they have been on Grillmasters TV ahow.

Unfortunately you can not get to his place in a big truck, but I do enjoy it on hometime.

I've had a lot of BBQ over the years and Clem's is my favorite.
