For Orientation only it will not be bad. Yes, you may be in the dorm the full time. Or since you are not in training you may go straight to the hotel.

 

Either way I will deal with what I have.. As long as I can eat somewhat healthy I will adapt till I don't have too

 

SingleTrucker I read your post and I will admit some of what you say is true HOWEVER!! The urine test you left out the part that they divide your specimen up into 2 little containers with lids that they send off to the lab. Brian the security gentleman is not as bad as you say he is. He talks and acts the way he does because of stupid people that try to hide stuff from him. The physical you don't even do any of that stuff when your on a truck. Honestly your gripes don't have much weight to them. You left out some stuff and you decide to complain about irrelevant things. I would assume that you went into this thinking one way and then your feelings were hurt when it didn't go how you pictured it. Ken the shuttle driver sure is a lot like grizzle Adams and he is brash and rough but he's not there to be your friend now is he? I will admit your complaint on the rooms in the VIP is correct bunk beds in rooms where the heater doesn't really work well but that is one week. The hotel is not as bad as your projecting. Sure no microwave or fridge in all the rooms but there is one that did have them I think it was 136 or 37. There are plenty of things with in walking distance that were cheap as well. As far as home time your on your own truck now. Your starting out fresh again. I know I want to go home when I am done but as long as I get home before Christmas I don't care. Honestly did you think that this was going to be all sunshine lollipops and rainbows when you got off your trainers truck?

 

I have a question - I just sent in paperwork - so I don't even know if they will accept me, but... I'm hearing dorms and such. I'm wondering if they have separate 'dorms' for the women??

(maybe that is a silly question - but I am wondering?)

 

They won't put you in a room with a guy, if that is what you are worried about.

 

LOL - yeah I guess it was - silly I know, but it was a thought. Also when it comes to training - will they place me with a female driver?

 

There is no guarantee that will happen. You can ask, but it may delay your training time.

 

Sigh - I don't want to delay anything - it will be long enough until I can START this process!!
