Well, I ended up doing Wolf Creek anyway, and it was easy, then again it was dry :) But then I continued, and for a total of 9.25 hours I drove today, tomarrow will finish up my 50 hours and we start team driving wich, I am sure will be a nightmare as well. And I am trying to learn but he 'cant belive' alot of things and ####, but I think I will eventually get it all, I mean, worst case, as I understand it, is that they send me back with a trainer after, if so, I will request a dfiffent one and tell them exactly why. Right now he is atleast remotely tolorable, until he starts talking about anything having to do with: Indians, Gays, Hispanics etc. And while he knows we aint supposed to talk about what is it, politics, sex, or osme other crap, I dont mind, but there has to be a temperance in there too. I dunno maybe im being too sensative. Over all im learning, but at the same time, some of the other things go by the wayside, its interesting to see some of the things I am told to 'ignore' or to 'not say' because it would 'just waste time' or what not.

Bite your tongue and don't say anything. Repeat silently to yourself... "This will end - my goal is in sight, and I will be rid of this redneck mofo soon!"

Thats pretty much what im doing, and oh my GOD whenever he is out of his pants (getting into sleeping bag, or out of etc) It smells like someone dont wipe their ###! But I know he bathes, its odd,, he is fairly hygenic but the smell I had to open the window when we bunked tonight.

Im also real shocked about how he talks about not wanting to be with Swift anymore and how im his last trainee before going to ...another company where he will be paid more, constantly saying how he 'dont care' or whatever.

in other news: Today I passed a waystation by accident, no ticket, because they did not see me or did not care, didnt mean to, just didnt get to read ALL of the sign, it was a lot of words about dulies and crap on a tiny sign when entering new mexico, no other signs for the waystation, and the station itself had a 'open ' sign, leaning on a post, on the ground infront of the ramp! :(

The fact that you're hanging in there despite all the negative that you're posting, that's a good thing. Now share with us something real positive that you have experienced. It will also lift you up just posting about it!

Lucked out on the weigh station drive by! I did that and got put in handcuffs one time! If it ever happens again make sure you pull over on the ramp at the end of it and bring them your paperwork. This will save you a little jail time! You are not the first one or the last one that this happens to! If the ramp is full going into the weigh station you are in most cases permitted to pass it. Just make sure you are using good judgment. Hang in there another day gone by! The team driving will probably mean that he will be sleeping more! Drive safe!

TD this post is right on the mark. No trainer should constantly scream and berate a trainee. It sound to me like the only reason this guy is a "trainer" is for the extra log book in the truck. He doesn't have the students best interests at heart. I trained very successfully for three years and never treated my students like this. When I raised my voice they new I was upset about something. Hang in there.
