Ok I have done as much reaserch as possible so now im here.
I would like to know what is a better option.
School - The only scool I can go to is Sage in Indy (1.5 hours away) I looked into Drive Co in Gary but Work one does not have the funding till JULY. They do not take financial aid wich SAGE does. So at this time Sage in Indy is the on way I can afford school. I can drive 1.5 hours everyday OR get a motel for mon-Thurs (I assume will cost about the same as the gas) I figure 20-25$ per day in gas.
Contract - I have read on here that certain companys make you pay it back while working. Some just pay you less to start but if you fulfil the contract school is free. Break the contract and your on the hook for it all. They have you by the short hairs for the contract.
While going to school I wont be earning money the fiance will be working. If I take a contract I hit the road quicker.
WHATS BETTER? School and spend $200+ in gas for 5 weeks OR Take a contract and hit the road now?
Im torn

Well when you get untorn, let me know. I'm in the same predicament. The Sage I'm looking into is in Ft. Pirece,Fl. An hour from where I live...
-
Spacecoast- I dont know what companies are hiring driver in your area. I called Schnider and they said they are hiring only graduates of a school or experienced drivers
-
Yea, Schneider shut down their school a year or two ago. I have a couple companies in mind. Smaller companies that hire in Florida, if I go the Sage route.
-
Yea sage is by far the better option IF it can be done. I just am not sure what to do. I need to find compnays that will train me. I been hearing swift, and jb hunt might. Im making calls and checking websites
-
Check out Central Refridgerated. I'm checking into them as well. Hearing positive feedback on them.

Central Transport - looks like grads and pros http://www.centraltransportint.com/Employment/employment.aspx
ABF - No apprenticeship Looks like hires pro only https://www.abf.jobs/
Old DOminion - pros only (looks like) http://www.odfl.com/employment/openingsDriversCompany.shtml -
It looks like CR England might be my best choice there apprenticeship is only 30-40 mins away.
Also looking at MCT, Werner and CRST -
If you pay for your own school make sure that most companys except that training. I live in los angeles and went to dootson truck driving school. I got my ckass A lic but most companys want credited schools with so many hours of training like werner, schnider, crst. the want me to take there school and sign term contract even though I have my class A lic. I have a freind that went to dootson with me . he went to crst and had to work for almost free for 8 months. that was in jan he is out now and got a local job right away.
