[IMG]"Prime Circus Barker" telling the "Naysayer" how to make "tons of money" hauling cheap Freight! It's easier for Prime to get a new driver to do things their way, rather than deal with a crusty ol' experienced driver who expects to be paid more.-Allycatt

If you are still looking for someone to split the sign on with, my husband is a company driver for them. His truck number is 700941. His name is Kevin Marquis. Let me know if you need more info.

And personally - we are happy with Prime, miles are slim right now for reefer but that is normal this time of year!!

How do they short you on reefer fuel if you're payin for it anyway?

You've got 2 hours after hooking on to fill that tank - goes on the bill of whomever didn't get it done when the trailer was dropped. My cost is about $4 per day...

What do they mean, lumper fees not being reimbursed?
As far as Fuel, as a company driver, doesn't prime pick up that tab up front?

On the company side all costs out-of-pocket are reimbursed - anything out of the ordinary check with dispatch first. I always used a comcheck for lumpers, but stuff like scale tickets and cash tolls necessarily has to come out of your pocket; there is an advance ballance on company side of your fuel card for this that's reloaded on each trip. Fuel and additives are purchased through your fuel card, and we have national accounts for repairs and preventative maintenance while on the road.

I never had a problem with being reimbursed for any costs myself - like lumpers, scale tickets or cash tolls. There are procedures that must be followed for PO numbers and you have to submit receipts along with your trip reports; if you screw-up on this, that's about the only way you won't get your money back. Payroll occasionally will make mistakes, and I occasionally screwed-up myself - however, if I had the receipts, I was always able to get things worked out. I never had to fight the company to get reimbursed, as long as I had the proper documentation. Reimbursements always were posted on the next settlement.

I've never had Prime expect me to foot the bill for them.

We have been with Prime for several months now and have not found any of this to be true. The settlement statements are very detailed and if you do not know how to read can be confusing. Other than the fuel mileage we are getting we have been happy with them.
