So how do you get your your fridge, suitcase, sleeping bag, gadgets, loadlocks, tool chest, computer, food items in the overhead on the bus?
-
(check the fridge though. unless you stocked it before leaving. most likely the ice melted, too) -

What Katey said. Hopefully future posts will be more informative AND entertaining!
Katey and just lil me Thank this. -
Sorry for the delay.. orientation went well. No big surprises there other than I found out my trainer time is 28 days and not 35.
Orientation ended and I was in my trainers truck. Had to forget how to drive a 10 and learn to drive a 13. Not all that hard except the gears aren't where my brain thinks they are. LoL
I lucked out and got a really good trainer. Though I am calling him the back-up nazi. He finds the tightest spots in the lot and tells me to put it in there or he makes me act like the empty lot is tight. Good thing is its working.
My old EMS skills of sleeping in a moving ambulance has kicked back in. I fall asleep easily in the sleeper while the truck is moving. Poor guy is not allowed to sleep while I am driving for another week or so.
So far I haven't experienced the stuff dragon or smurfette has.
As for the truck: its a fairly new T-2000. 400K miles.
Right now we are waiting at a shipper to pick up a load...
Allow me why would I bring a refrigerator when I am pulling a 53' foot refrigerator hahaha
Seriously though I took the advice here and brought only the stuff I need to survive till I get my own truck. I would recommend that too. Find out what your trainer has first and what room he has available. Central's policy is for trainer to supply some space, but it's not a lot
So far and life is still new out here, but I am happy with my choice of companiesKatey, Gears, Flying Dutchman and 3 others Thank this. -
Good deal.....Just be the best Lil' trucker you can be.....
-
So good to read what you are dealing with - Hubby and I are going w/Central as well - he is doing his physical and drug test today - school starts Monday. I just home the CA terminal/school/stuff is close to what you have there. Yeah I know same company - but I'm sure there are some differences.
Curious - do you think I should start a 'Team Klingon' thread for our adventures??
