I have heard that a lot of the T/S have wifi now...
If not, stop by a some place like Starbucks... they have free wifi. -
My friend who drives for central says t/s have wifi.

She's still here huh? Dang I never got to meet her!

Your dispatcher might like it, but the night guys will hate you. And, you'll suffer for it. They know who waits for the day dispatch to go home, and they will ignore those folks.

Yup, it was a repower so we scaled out just in case. If the women you saw were dark haired and dressed alike, it was us.

The best places for free wifi are mom n pop truckstops, starbucks, McDonalds, and barnes & Noble. Starbucks and B&N are tough to get to in a truck. Non chains usually offer free, and some chains do too. For example, the Iowa 80 T/S do, so Walcott, IA, Joplin, MO and Oak Grove, MO all offer free wifi. Bosselman t/s do as well.
Most other t/s offer it for about $5 for 24 hours access. If you have a smart phone and are already paying for a data package, check out pda net, it should be on a website called June Fabrics. They offer it for several phones, Andriod, Blackberry, Windows phones. It's a $30 one time fee, and as long as you don't violate your provider's service agreement, it's cheaper than a monthly charge. -
Thank you for the info.
