    RR,

I wish I would have read your post sooner, I am currently riding passenger with my boyfriend who I plan on teaming with and we were in Joplin last night also. Guess I'll have to catch you some other time lol.

Anyway, I hope you had a good Thanksgiving and have a safe trip down to Laredo! Enjoy some of that warm weather down there (this former Florida girl isn't liking this cold too much either) lol. We are headed to Illinois and its supposed to be mid 30's for the high and down into the twenties tonight :biggrin_25512:.

Sorry I didn't get to meet you both...you know a lot about road life then...you will enjoy Crowder and you know about Conway...You have a big advantage. Is your boy friend going to be your finisher?

I am on truck 20938, handle on the doors says Rooster. My finisher named me because I woke him up in the mornings and said "Let's Drive". It was always about 2 hours before he wanted to get up!!!

In Laredo today and Sunday, deliver early on Monday and should get a load out Monday. If you all are here, I am in the lounge now or call me at 239-560-6702.

    Be Safe

Mustang, I presume you have left Laredo by now, Saturday afternoon but, although cool, it is still nicer than anything I have seen. Call me if you are here. 239-560-6702...otherwise we will meet some other time.

    Be Safe

We aren't sure if he will be or not, they are supposed to call him next week and let him know if he meets all the requirements or not. I am sure hoping he can lol.

Love the nickname, I will be looking for ya. My handle on the door is Katey and his, Link.

Good luck getting a nice run outta Laredo :)

Can anyone here who went to Con-Way orientation give me the scoop? The more details the better!! :D

I mainly want to know if there is any kind of physical strength test (like lifting or carrying certain weights certain heights/distances) and what the agility test includes (anything besides getting in and out of a trailer and "waddling" under one)? Also are they still doing the obstacle course (A friend of ours went through probably 6 months or so ago and they weren't at that time)? Also, other than those 3 tests and the drug test, what other kinds of tests do you have to do (including driving and non driving ones)?

P.S. - Sorry for Hi-jacking your thread RR but I figured someone here might can help me and have had no lucking asking elsewhere lol.

On the first day during the physical they will have you lift I think 75lbs up off the floor to your waist and that is it.

I don't think they do a In and Out of Trailer or a Waddle under trailer test, although I heard of such things at other outfits.

Basically the normal physical stuff, listen to heart and lungs, blood pressure, weight, eyes, hearing, urine dipstick test, drug screen, and lift a box (lift with legs not with back).

Driving is part around town, and on the obstacle course, driving around cones and such, and backing. Make sure to get out and look multiple times, take your time, be #2, let somebody else do it so you can watch, plan it out in your mind, then get it done, should be ok.
Did I mention Get Out And Look, 3 times I think is what they are looking for.

I had 2 orientations. The first, I don't remember any lifting. We had a road test with a double set, went through all the paperwork and got certified for the forklifts. The other was just about corporate policy and ethics.
