I've been researching these as well as control units. On our engines, we need to get around 4 or 5 lpm of HHO to make a difference. Also, you must interface into the ECU in order to get the fuel trim leaned out a little.

There is little to no information on the site about the units themselves. The 'needle' they use to inject HHO into the intake is not even close to large enough to supply the lpm demands of a high volume engine.

I would be wary of this unit. Just not enough info on the site to make an educated decision never mind a guess.

The other thing that I didnt like was they wanted to inject Hydrogen before the turbo. If I am going to inject some flamable gas into my intake, it will be at the elbow before it goes in the head, I dont want that stuff floating from the turbo through the Air 2 air then into the intake. I enjoy smoking while being a mechanic, sure would hate to have my eyebrows taken off.

If you do it, you might consider moving the intake for the air compressor too, or you'll be pushing the hydrogen into it too. FWIW, I experimented with hydrogen on my diesel pickup, and I couldn't tell any difference in power or fuel economy. Snake oil, IMO.

Being from Ontario, if you know Ed Wesselius ask him. He had it hooked up to a Volvo when he was pulling for Laidlaw.

I'll PM you his email address. Ed used to drive for me (PipeX Inc) a few years ago.

So far as I can tell, almost all of these outfits are not what they say they are, so be careful. The idea of feeding hydrogen into your engine is a very sound one. You can conceivably cut back on the amount of fuel being put into your engine and still increase HP and range. All the while you would be cleaning the gunk out, and increasing the life of your home on wheels. Five liters per minute would barely make any difference on a truck engine though, in my opinion. I think around twenty five liters would be more in line with that size engine.
I ran out of money for the rest of my system and I've been looking at totally different types of engines altogether.
I've been thinking of pulling the engine out of my truck, which is sitting anyway, and putting in something totally different. Magnetic. I've figured out how to have jakes without the deisel Other systems could be run by electric and the air. Not so far fetched and sci-fi as it sounds Really!

Of course I would have to know it actually works first. LOL

    Hello All,

I found this post on google and wanted to reply. Disclaimer: I am a dealer of the Wildcat Hydrogen Booster.

The Wildcat Hydrogen Booster is not snake oil. It is a serious piece of American made equipment, made so by its central processing unit (cpu). You see, making hydrogen through electrolysis is easy. The hard part is making it consistently and in the right amount for a particular engine. This is where the Wildcat Hydrogen Booster's CPU separates it from other hydrogen boosters. We can dial the computer in using milliamps, meaning we can find any engine's sweet spot.

I tell you, four liters is plenty. Boosting fuel efficiency takes very little H2 + O2. However, too much will have the opposite effect of decreasing mileage.

Our results have been fantastic! So much so that we guarantee a 10% increase in fuel efficiency. We can do this because our average boost is closer to 18%. For most drivers, the rate of return on investment is less than four months, and if diesel keeps increasing in price, this will drop 3 months.

For farm tractors and construction equipment running at a consistent RPM we are getting ~25% boosts in fuel efficiency.

If the Wildcat Hydrogen booster doesn't work, it is because it is installed incorrectly...or the driver is hot rodding the truck. Period! it is a matter of physics. If hydrogen reaches the cylinder, it will combust, increasing horse power and torque. The oxygen will increase the fuels octane and clean the engine of carbon.

Thank you for reading my rantings. I am very excited about this product! :biggrin_25525:

    Drive safe and God bless,
    Brett

When can we see some SAE test results of these Hydrogen units?

    Great question!

HTI is in the process of emissions testing diesel truck engines using SAE standards. The process started yesterday in Saline Michigan but the equipment issues made it impossible to run a full test. The consistent data they did have showed an ~ 11% boost in fuel efficiency. I only know this because my business partner was there. However, we are just a dealer and you will have to get the actual data/results from HTI.

I know that the testing is going to continue, but where and when I do not know.

I asked my partner for the SAE standards being used and those are going to be emailed to him by the lab. Once I have them I would be more than happy to list.

    Thanks,
    Brett
