Well I am going to change employers! :biggrin_255:
Just one glitch here, I live in a residential area where a heavy truck is prohibited. My current company Werner has a drop yard 10 minutes from my house, so when I come home I park the truck there. My new employer doesn't have any facilities near me and said I can just take my truck home. I have inquired with a couple of industrial businesses near me to see if I could work out an arrangement to park at their place when I come home. So far one said yes for Sundays only. The local truck stop said "no way man, if your truck is here u have to be here with it." Any ideas or advice?
    Thanks!

i have personally seen trucks parked in the roads of industrial parks. whether or not they get over night parking tickets, frankly i have never seen one, but i ain't saying they may NOT get one, as these "streets" are off the main streets in the area........

you could find an abandoned business IN an industrial park, and just park there.

however be forewarned that where ever you do park, you park at your OWN RISK.........make sure its all locked up. if you got a load in the trailer, be ever SO CAREFUL to back up to the building, or parking lot lamp post. you damage, you pay........

this is why now for the past several years, i will NOT go OTR and have to worry about where to park a freaking truck on my time off....

There is no way I would leave my truck at a truck stop! I hated leaving it while I went to take a shower! Keep your eyes open for where other drivers are parking their trucks. Sometimes Kiwanis clubs or Moose Lodges or Veteran clubs will let you park for a fee. Also RV storage places. Your best bet would be to find someone with property or space for a semi that wants to make a few extra bucks. We used to pay $80 a month for truck parking when we were over the road. Even when we weren't here we still had to keep paying or we would lose our space. Another thing you can do is talk to some store owners and get permission to park in there lot. Whatever you do don't just park at a Lowes or Walmart etc... without permission. We lived in an apartment for awhile and once we came home I parked at the movie theatre across the street. We just parked there to unload real quick. We grabbed the dog and ran across the street to put her up and throw our stuff in the apartment and when we came back the truck was gone! He must have been watching us and had someone helping him because it was literally less than 5 minutes. It cost us $650.00 to get the truck back. I was so mad that was the one day I thought I was really going to kill someone. My wife had to go pick the truck up by herself or I would have went to jail for a long time! From that point on if we ever parked like that one of us stayed with the truck no matter what. Sorry to ramble just didn't want it to happen to you.

One other idea is that you can check with Werner or other companies in the area. Sometimes they will let you park your truck at their facilities.
