Get use to the 40,000+ pound loads if you run mainly the IP account. The lighter loads are usually Uline. It seemed that the order of things for loads were small fleet then the lease trucks and finally the single owner operator. After figuring the order out (basically confirmed by talking with other drivers in those positions) and struggling to try to get 2700 miles in a 7 day week (usually running 14-18 days out) along with several other concerns I terminated the contract after a year with them. I really didn't want to throw in the towel but the figures/bottom line often makes the decision.

Thats great if you like the truck, I dont think its worth of changing the truck and gettung a truck you have . I buy my trucks from chicago and I'm very happy. good luck!

I worked thru Patriot Logistics for Risinger for mo's then Patriot turned 10 trucks bk into the dealer, so i was laid off myself, But Risinger only pays by the H.G. So u get screwed by 10 % on miles, They also pay about 1/2 the national ave. on fuel surcharge, Yes the loads are heavy and i got the miles i needed. But after i got laided off Lorie tried to get me into a former Risinger truck, I asked for 1 with an APU and was informed that there trucks did'nt hav any, that was a lie, they do on some but they wont fix them, hmmmm makes u wonder. So i called John at KCM and when risinger found out they got ticked and refused to put me bk to work claiming we were not a match, hmmmmm

10% That may be on the low side....Most of my settlements were on average 12% to 18.5% shy of what the truck was running, and I am running GPS. I don't know from what century their HMG is but this was one of my biggest fights with them. You are practically getting paid for 80% of your work and the FSC they offer # .17 per mile wont do you one bit of good.

When I really opened my eyes into their little skeem, is when they started to move my trips around and paying for them in different weeks. They will move one of your trips and pay for it on a different week, but wont move the fuel you bought to move that load. EX: One week I turned in 2700 and change in miles, they paid me for 1600, but charged me for all the fuel I had purchased that week. My settlement came for $322.00. I CAME UNGLUED!!!!!:biggrin_25523:

You did not pay very much attention during orientation did you? We get paid for all trips we deliver by midnight on Saturday on the following Friday. All fuel you pump by midnight Saturday comes out of your settlement on the following Friday also.

Another thing is you said you were averaging 12 to 18% out of route miles. You said you use a GPS. Um that must of been your problem because I only average 4% out of route miles using a good old map. Car GPS systems pretty much route you on nothing but interstates.

I just checked my settlement, and because I only fueled at Pilot, I got a some pretty substancial discounts... The only sent me one settlement, that only had one trip on it... But the fuel was $75 less, than the pump price.

BIG KID2, you need to read my comments really good before you slash back at me. I knew about the saturday midnight deadline etc. Why waste my time....I checked to see how much experience you have as an O/O could not tell but you say you been driving for 12 years. When I began doing this, you were barely out of "potty training" over 32 years ago, so PLEASE save the BS for someone else.

Not sure, but it sounds like you either drive for a fleet owner or you drive one of those beat up VOLVO's or Freightliners with over 800K miles Risinger leases to you guys for over 1600.00 per month, plus maintenance escrow, plus insurance, plus taxes etc.
    That's over 2000.00 per month....
Then you come here and sound so proud of your 1300.00 per week settlement!!!!!

BIG KID2, YOU NEED TO GROW UP!!!!:biggrin_2559:
