Too late to get chains, what can i pour down for traction?

IF you are not willing to prepare ahead of time because you think that you know what the weather is goin' to do in the next 15min, I would respectively ask you to getcherass off the road before ya hurt somebody.

you're a company driver.....they SHUT DOWN when the weather/roads are bad...??
yet you still want to run, because you are 'hard core"...???

you're going against company policy, up to a point where the insurance company CAN REFUSE to pay out any claim....then, its ALL ON YOU.....

but, you''re "HARD CORE".....you can handle that.....

 

We give customers like that three options:

1)Clear the ice and snow so we can make the delivery
2)We get stuck, company charges YOU for the tow bill(I got stuck once, customer paid tow bill, last time I seen snow in that dock)
3)We take the delivery back to the warehouse

Option three seemed to get alot of use last winter(bad winter for us last year).

This goes for all our customers:Grocery stores, bakeries, c-stores, etc.

A set of "singles" (2 ea chains) costs about 60 bucks online. This would let you "chain-up" 2 outside drive tires. 1 tire on each side of 1 drive axle. This would let you move on ice at a dock or lot anywhere. Not enough chains to satisfy the chain-law but would get you off the highway or around a yard. They don't even weigh much.
Hangin'-iron would prove youre hardcore. Running without them just proves you no better than the rest of the ones that got stuck and are in the way. JMO.

 

well if you truly are such a "hard core trucker "---just take the chain off of your wallet and wrap it around your drive tire and away you go---not sure if those gloves with no fingers will keep you warm tho

Well, I'm not going to make any comments about not getting chains and being prepared or depending upon the company to shut you down before you get stuck in the middle of the highway behind a 14 car accident due to ice. Nor am I going to say anything about chains not being so you can keep running but that chains are to get you out of a problem. No, I'm not going to do anything except that I'm simply going to answer your question so you can deal with shopping centers.
