Don't take offense to what I am saying guys, I'm still new in school but from what I have researched... believe me I spent many hours doing so. I found that new drivers should not lease... and it is a common thing where new drivers lease and fail. That is why I am so big on not leasing, if there was a seasoned driver here asking for opinions... well that is not the case because most likely the experience they have will be enough and don't need our advice for this big step. I am speaking directly to new drivers like myself in hopes it will scare them from the idea at first until they build the confidence one day and be successful.

So I am set to attend orientation, they want my last ten years of employment when I get there. I told the recruiter there is no way I can provide them with the dates like she wants because I get rid of anything after 3 years like most people. She said just to do the best I can, has anyone else gone through this? Also, how do they do the blood pressure check? If I am moving around or walking my blood pressure will go above 140/90 hopefully they do it relaxed where it is 123/83.

When you get to orientation, avoid caffeine and salt at all costs - they tend to raise your blood pressure.

...ignore that 123-guy; he trolls almost all the threads, and doesn't add anything useful to any discussion.

When are you set for orientation. I am looking to be there the first week in February? (unless my company lets me out of my 30day notice contract early)

Iron Pony...I spoke with my recruiter today, he said I may not have to transfer my license to CO if I use my PO Box in MO as my address. If I need a physical address I can use the Marina I am going to store my boat at. I plan to take all my home time there and spend it on the boat anyway (wife will fly up to see me there). Any thoughts on this process?

As long as you can make a case that you license state and state-of-residence coincide, you should be fine.

    revslev Thanks this.

This brings up a question my husband and I have had (he has had more important things to talk to the FM about than this,. obviously!).

Do you gain time off while in training? and if Yes, is it at the same rate?

Hubby was in the C & B seat for 16 weeks and never took home time. If yes, on above then he should have 16 days banked, correct?

Im not sure. I would think so. I did all my training in one big chunk... I didnt take any hometime.. When it came time to upgrade I went home for 10 days before I got my truck... I could have taken 2 weeks, but not by some "day off counter"... They just told me to be back before 2 weeks were up. (I emphasize that I had not yet been assigned a truck when I took the time off)

I know for sure that Company Vacation time milage starts after upgrade to A seat... training miles dont count toward vacation like they do towards raises.
