    Can someone tell me about how much I can expect to pay for snow chains? and how many I get for that price?

    Just like anything else, you get what you pay for. Cheapest available are at major trailer dealers (Utility, Great Dane, ETC) out west about $80 for a pair of singles, Chinese made. Truck stops will get more, especially if it snows...

    You can buy very nice stuff for $300 pair of singles, like municipalities use that last 5-10 times longer. These are frequently made here or in Europe much better quality, but most infrequent( 1-3 times a year) don't need that level of quality.

    I like the Trygg Super 2000. Light weight and extra strong. You'll wear them out, they just don't break.
