Ah, another poker player. I play on UB.com all the time. Sometimes I'll play on PS. Sounds like you play the tables. I play mainly tournaments and sitNgo's. Last deposit I made was in 2005. I keep a steady bankroll. The trick to successful poker. My biggest online cash was $7,000. I was heads up in a tournament once that first place sponsored you in $150,000 worth of WSOP events. I was chip leader and lost after about and hour. I got $3500 for 2nd. So close to going pro.
I played in four WSOP circuit events and cashed in three for $34,500. I gave up on the idea of going all out pro. I just play for recreation anymore. The US internet gambling laws put a slow down on things. I use to wire the money straight to my bank via Netteller. Now you have to get checks in the mail. Lately I been playing on LuvPoker.com. It's a small site with maybe 200 online. Most are Russians and other third world countries. They are horrible players. It's like taking candy from a baby.

Back in 2004, I joined PokerAnalysis.com. After about three months, the owners asked me to be site administrator and run the forum for $300/mo. I did and built the membership from 400 to over 15000 members with leagues and forum games. It was a happening place. The owners got 25% of the rake from affiliate sign ups. It wasn't long they were making $30,000 a month. They were tight wads and wouldn't give me anymore money. I helped put them in that position. They blew the money as fast as it came in. They did buy a beach house in Australia where they were from. So I quit and their little empire crumbled after about a year of the high life when th US cracked down. They got a divorce, lost the house and sold the forum. Now it's a graveyard and their broke. It was fun while it lasted. If the US ever legalizes internet gambling, I'll do the affiliate thing myself. There is big money in referring players. I'll start with this forum, lol, just kidding.

 

I got the same email. Mine was from the IRS telling me they want to deposit it into my checking account but need all my pertinent information in order to process it. Mine was for the sum of $15,000,000.00 though.

If you really need info on making your first million, I'll give you some great advice, play Mega Millions this weekend, it's up to 247 million this week. You'll have a better chance with that than with making a million in trucking.

On a serious note, if you're young enough, take an equal amount taken for FICA and put it in almost any type of bank account and by the time you retire, the compounded interest will ensure you're a millionaire...

 

Last time I tried to deposit there they stopped taking my credit card so I stopped playing there. There's only a handful like UltimateBet, Absolute Poker and a few smaller ones that you can still deposit at with a credit card. Some are using third party deposits that charge you fees like eWallet. I'm not giving money away to deposit and play. Many US players quit playing.

Yeah, a good player can build a bankroll. I watched two guys on PS one night, both sat down with $10K. The one guy took the other guys money in 15 minutes. He brought another $10K and another. The guy took him for $40K in about an hour. There are some high rollers on there.

I just got done playing on that LuvPoker site. I turned $20 into $70 yesterday on the .10/.20 tables. Today, I get AQ and the flop was QQK.
The guy bets $2.50 and I quietly call. Turn was 7 and he bets $8, I raise him to $24 and he called. River was an Ace and he put me allin. I called with my AAQQQ boat. He turned over AA for a AAAQQ.
