Is anyone having any problems getting miles with Knight....My hubby's only been getting between 1600-1800mls since he started there 6wks ago....This week it was 1900mls and he was out for 7days.

Does anyone get their pay stubs in the mail from Knight? worked 6wks and still no pay stub...now dispatch told him they're not mailing them out anymore. That if a driver needs one they need to come to the terminal and talk to their payroll person...

    seawind Thanks this.

The problem here isnt that hes not receiving them its the fact that knight no longer sends out paper statements. When he went thru orientation they should have given him a username and password for their horrid server and as far as i have been told by both my terminal and phoenix this will be the only way to receive your paystubs now. This is a problem for myself as well but there seems to be nothing we can do about it :biggrin_25510: but then again i guess this is just life with knight...

when they first came out with their online payroll.. told everyone to go to planetknight.com.... well if you bookmarked it before payroll then the same login page would come up... took a month to finally realize that they changed servers and did not tell anyone... or simply do a redirect automatically.... watch your paystubs.. was doubled in state tax and the moron in payroll told me he could take it out again... finally he found the mistake and he could not figure out why i was upset... payroll and my deposit do not match... gee... kind of like bouncing a check.. so watch your paystubs... or should i say .. your online stubs..

    Hey there...:biggrin_25525:

We are an experienced Team living in the worst place to get a decent trucking job - Florida !!, we are having problems trying to find a (decent) company that will hire from here, anyways have been looking into Knight Transport out of Lakeland, so far it 'appears' to be alright but we are wondering if anyone can give us a heads up on this company...Is Knight Transport better or worse than the other division - Knight Refrigerated..??

We would rather pull doubles.....no one is hiring here...

Would appreciate any comments...thanks guys & gals - keep the rubber side down...~lol~

Knight's team division is unfortunately not really team orientated. Alot of the teams i run into are looking for another company to work for because they end up having to sit on loads because they run them too fast or there simply isnt any "team" freight in that area. Knight comes right out and admits that they do not and will not solicit for team freight as they are a solo driver company. If I were in your shoes i would be looking at another company if running teams as teams tend to do 600-900 mile days on "good" days. I'm sure this isnt what you would have liked to hear but its honesty that counts when looking into a company.

When you go into a terminal, you can ask someone in there to go to the site and print your stubs up for you. Your username is kr-your driver id and then the password is the first 4 numbers of your dl and the last four of your soc.. and the dash has to be in there. it should look like kr-abcd, then 01239876.

Thank you for being honest it is appreciated. They never mentioned anything about being a solo driver company. They appeared to be really kean about hiring us on however they do insist we take the truck and TRAILER home - we have a fairy big property but there is no way we can get a trailer here...anyway we have decided to sit tight and keep looking. We really want to getback out there esp. seen as how Winter is arriving and we are one of those crazy teams that just love to run in the snow and ice, the northwest is our favoruite place to be....:biggrin_255:

Well thanks again and have a geat day

I understand Knight is not set up for teams. I called Smith and they would run you as a team, so long as you are married. Give me a reply back if you would like my phone number or email so i can pass info to you..

    Hi Mark

Thanks a lot, unfortunately we are not married yet, we are engaged and will tie the knot next year. I can understand why a company would want thier teams to be married - less chance of a split up - however these days being married does not always guarantee that...~smiles~... I am guessing that Smith would not be interested..? I am assming you mean Smith Transport, I will go to thier website and read up on them, if it is someone different I would appreciate the info.

    Thanks again...:smt041
