Almost anyone can be trained to do almost anything. It's different than doing something you love. By the time you're in your 30's you should have the ability to do over 100 different things. However, 98 of those things probably don't coincide with your dreams or passions. Hence the reason people should only pursue driving as a vocation if it truly fits their passions and dreams in life.

I hire based on attitude, not experience. No experience and a great attitude trumps gobs of experience and a lousy attitude every time. Trouble is finding someone that wants to work.

Tell you the problem...guys that come out of driving school know enough to pass the ICBC road test. which is total ########. That is the the tip of the iceberg.
Tell me do you know about border crossing? log books? american weights?Canadian weights?whats the biggest hill you have driven on? how much backing up have you done? have you driven an 18speed, 15 speed, or just a 13 speed/ have you ever chained up? do you know how to tarp a load?
the reason I know this is beacause i worked for the biggest truck Driving School in BC.they don't teach you guys everything you need to know they just want your money
And I use to be in charge of hiring drivers before I started training. straight up most new drivers don't know ####. They do more damage to equipment they are slower then veteran drivers. you know what really sucks? when you do spend the time and money to train them they think the grass is greener on the otherside and end up leaving .
