What's up with the Greatwide drivers and their poor driving? Not saying they are all poor drivers, but good grief they sure seem to have a bunch of bad drivers.
A road I travel daily is also used to access a WalMart dist center, and I regularly see GreatWide drivers that run a stop sign or they run one of the stop lights in town. Some of the "drivers" I have encountered the last couple of years sure give the rest of the industry a black eye IMO. I am not seeing this kind of behavior from other trucks coming/going out of that place, not to say others haven't done it, but it sure seems like they are the worst offenders.

I've notice a distinct lack of quality at that company too.
-
If you can't make it with those companies....get yourself over to GreatWide! -
I live near a big road exit to a major truck stop.
I regularly see drivers from any company blow thru the stop signs at 10 or more over.
10 over the STOP sign.
Right in front of other traffic that has the right of way etc.
12 to 14 yrs ago one of them even killed some one's granny because they didn't stop. -
When you gotta go you gotta go! right up to the fuel island and "bless the axle" between the tractor and the trailer.....why not... the cows do it and nobody says squat! WRONG!

It's really disappointing to see these guys doing stuff like this.
It has really tarnished the image of the professional driver.Brickman, JimDriv3r and otherhalftw Thank this. -
I saw one moron take the on ramp (no stop sign for that one, just yield to oncoming traffic) so fast that his left rear duals on the trailer were a good 2' off the ground. I'm assuming he was empty or had very little weight the way his trailer acted.
There really is no call for some of the insane things that are seen from truck and car drivers alike. Some of this stuff defies common sense.
I've nearly been killed at that intersection myself.
I've called the 800 number on the back of the trailer.
I've followed the truck into the fuel island and one genius seeing me in the mirror decided to not even stop at the fuel island, just grabbed more gears and thru the parking lot and onto the big road again.
Another apologized profusely for his bad driving habits.
A friend of mine after being nearly forced off the road will pull around the truck and stop in front of them. Figuring since they can't figure out how to stop at a STOP sign he'll show em how its done.
Once they come to a complete stop then he moves on up the road about his business.
Honestly there is no excuse for the bad behavior from all drivers.
I know its much worse when back east or in other high population centers. -

The GWs going to the store here are the same way. They run that stop light on regular basis, get in the lane that is a dedicated turn lane and go straight, right in front you.. I don't know how many times I have nearly been hit by one of their trucks out on Noble... I finally learned that that despite the fact thatthey are in the turn lane, they are going straight.. so I just hang back and let them go. It may hold up traffic a bit, but it holds it up less than it would if I got hit.. 'cause then we'd have an accident, and then one heck of a brawl!
