I have no idea, I was out because there closest one to me is Pensicola, FL. I'm pretty sure they have a "hireing Area" instead of a hireing raidus like W/S does, the Hireing map is on there Web Site www.maytrucking.com

Since there head quarters is in OR you should be good, Trucker Steve is on the forum as well he's "IAMTRUCKERSTEVE" he posts in the May threads hes more then willing to help out new drivers...

May Trucking's headquarters is located in Salem, OR. You should be in their hiring area. They do authorize parking at specific drop yards if the terminals are out of reach.

    Give them a call.

AT and the rest of the W/S gang, may I add that if you are due for service on your truck and are told "Get the load there" and you are going by a shop DO NOT PASS THE SHOP TO SAVE THE LOAD, I ran in to this situation and called a shop manager to varify and he ran me up one side and down the other, he told me that I was responsible for the truck and that I would have been liable had this exhaust leak caused a engine failure, I'm glad I stopped by the shop. Take Care.

Not true, a servicing interval is what they want done, I had my sleeper in the shop yard for 3 months while running the bay, telling them it needed a servicing and oil change, they blew it off every day until they had time, in the mean time I was 10k over on my oil change and service. nobody said otherwise to me. I was telling them about it... They would like to see it at the proper milage but that doesnt happen 99% of the time, The only time they will rake you is if you are driving an unsafe truck and ignoring the shops along the way. Dont drive a rig that should be out of service, that WILL get you in trouble. Even if dispatch says take it, you can refuse based on your rigs condition. Hell I did due to my wiper blades not working on my daycab recently, they fixed me real quick because of this.

Not exactly sure what is "Not true", dispatch told me to "Stop by the shop if I felt like I needed too" well I really needed too, they found a huge exhaust leak and said I would have had a large DOT ticket if I had been caught. I have been receiving QC messages since I have been over the 30000 miles, telling me to get it to a shop and to tell my dispatcher that I needed to get it to a shop, well when I told dispatch they blew it off and said the above.

An exhaust leak is something you should have found, especially if its as big as you say it was. not only should you have heard it, but also you could have seen soot all over the place, this is part of a pretrip, something alot of drivers seem to not be doing much of lately. Warp will probably comment on this also in the morning, we have been seeing TONS of f'ed up trailers dropped all over and we have to deal with them because someone else was too lazy to look the trailer over before taking it.

You guys might only have to see that for a few miles, but we have to deal with the end result when a load cannot be finished. I had a trailer yesterday someone dropped, didnt tag it nothing, it was a load, i had to deliver it in an hour when I got it, and guess what, HUGE ### Applied air leak, nobody said crap or tagged it, so when it came time to make my appt on time, I had to red tag it and put it in the shop for 3 days. and the load ended up not getting there on time. why would anyone drop a trailer with issues and not say anything to anyone? especially if the load was going to sit for a few days. this is just plain lazy, your qcomm works, use it...

(This isnt directly pointing at you TD, but its getting old picking up after other people, our jobs are hard enough as it is some times, we dont need crap like this adding to it.)

I agree, I picked up a trailer in Phx. Coming off my hometime and it needed a brake light I went and found the replacement and installed it, I also find a huge screw in a inside tire on another trailer there in the yard, I called John on Monday to tell him about it, I don't think I can hear it but I have been seeing the soot, and smelling it, I don't know how big it is I was getting my info. From the high school kids that works here P/T. I hear you D1 it is very frustrating, especially when the brakes are bad on a trailer with bald tires and I get to take it down Donner and burn up my tractor brakes as the trailer brakes are gone with 45K of flour, only to tell dispatch about it that it needs to go to a shop and he tells me to take it to Bud. and drop it there, I am still worried this is going to come back around.
