ive been with crst or a little over 5 months and i love it. i normally have a load before i drop my first load. we rarely rarely sit. on the rare occasion we do sit but thats normally on the weekend. my advice is to get in god with ur dayshift dispatcher. they are your lifeline to the company. weekend and nights r just there to keep the place from burning down. show ur dayshift dispatcher u want to run, you CAN run, make deliveries on time, make pick ups on time, be polite to the shippers and consignees even if they aren't to you (and you will have some) and u will have happy sailing.
ElegantMarie Thanks this. -

Hubby has been with this company for several months. Company owes over $100 reimbursements to us personally. Can't get recruiter to return calls. Payroll dept. says we need to speak with recruiter about this issue. Needless to say, we are very frustrated! Any suggestions?
-
recruiters dont have anything to do with the drivers after they get you signed up. its your fleet manager you should talk to about reimbursements. your FM is your life line to the company. if that doesnt work talk directly to Turner. hes the big wig of crst.

CRST is on my list of possible companies. Wondering how hard it would be to find a partner around Somerset, Ky. And how close do partners need to be to each other to team together?
-
why on earth would you waste your time with them, that company sucks and don't pay ####e, i started with them 12 years ago and only pay 11cpm, you will seat a lot with no runs, so my advice is for you to look elsewhere and drive solo you will make more money... good luck
-
actually they start out at .22 cpm. you run teams and they split the miles. not the pay. after 6 months you get a raise up to .32 cpm. my truck is averaging 5-6k miles a week. so i got 2500-3000 miles per week. as long as you show your fleet manager that you can pick up and deliver on time you will get the miles. if you are always late then you will not get the miles. keep your nose down and do what your suppose to do and you will be fine.
Sapper Daddy87 and ElegantMarie Thank this. -
they still suck as a company, i'm sure you can find another one outhere a lot better innit, but if you want to give them a try go ahead and find out for yourself how ####e they are, you soon will be quitting them anyways
