This was a short week for me. I left the house Sunday night with a fresh 70 and got home with 29 hours left on my 70. I only used up 41 hours this week but managed to make a thousand dollars. I bumped the dock in Orlando at 11pm last Sunday night and went to sleep. At 5am they started unloading me and at 6am I was empty and on my way to the port in Jacksonville.

I had gotten my reload info Friday afternoon so I knew where I was going. I arrived at the port around 10am, backed right in, and was loaded by 10:45. Here is a little something to think about. If you don't have a TWIC card, get one. I have one and because I do, I get backed in as soon as I get there, those that don't have one get put in a staging area and wait to be escorted to the dock, hours later. Without a TWIC card you are only allowed to enter the port 5 times in 90 days, with one it's unlimited. I think it's a total political money maker but the $132.50 I've spent for it has payed off tremendously. If anyone doubts this just ask Gary, he doesn't have one and was there the next day for hours waiting to get loaded.

I had a delivery in Wilkes-Barre Wednesday at 9am and was at the terminal at 11am. I was given my reload info and was on my way back home at 1pm Wednesday. I'm home now and already have my reload sitting on my computer in my truck. As soon as I go there I'll find out where I'm headed to.

I knew they had senior drivers on it. But I didn't know it was a dedicated run. Keep in touch, let us know how things work out for you.

    JB,
How you doing? I saw your truck when I got in today. I was wondering, do you know of a CB shop in the area, think my antennas are off, but I just dont know.
    Have a great weekend,

That was me. To answer your question I don't know of any down here. I usually have mine worked on up in PA.

Well I finally went and checked my computer on my truck. No load on the screen. I do know one was sent but this happens once in a while. I need to move my truck for the signal to arrive. I wasn't in the mood to drive around waiting on the signal to arrive, so I'll get it early Monday morning when I leave to deliver. Meanwhile I set up my flat panel LCD TV my wife got me for Christmas, I was hoping for a 55 inch but will settle for the 22 inch she got me. I found the right mounting bracket and positioned it in the right place, it looks pretty good if you ask me. I'll post a few pictures tomorrow.

This thread is very interesting to read. I'll be looking forward to reading more of your personal experiences from this company. Quite entertaining. Thanks!

What this really is is my last 28 years of driving with a somewhat comical twist thrown in. This could be any company. The company I work for is a perfect fit for me, I just like to throw in my thoughts and feelings about what we go through on a daily basis.

I must be honest and not only tell people the good, but also the not so good, and I had a not so good moment with my pay check this week. We can scan our trips in before noon on Monday's and get paid on Friday. I usually don't do it because I'm able to drop off my round trip when I get to Pittston. It's worked perfectly for me since day one.

Because of the holiday's things fall behind and I decided to scan my paperwork in this past Monday, at 9am. I had dropped one trip off at the terminal the previous Thursday and the one I scanned in would have given me my complete round trip to be paid this past Friday. I also had a payroll issue and was not paid for my 2 extra pick ups in Yuma, and was double charged for my health insurance and Aflac insurance. So I was owed that money and was told it would be in this past weeks check.

Friday morning came and my wife told me that my paycheck was a little light. I check my direct deposit and sure enough, it was VERY light. My wifes way of telling me was to remind me that if I'm going to be gone for any amount of time, this type of paycheck is not really acceptable. I happened to agree with her.

Not only wasn't I reimbursed for the double insurance charges, they also didn't pay me for the trip I scanned on Monday. This is where working for a smaller company pays off. I called up to Jim and left him a voice mail message explaining what happened. About an hour later I get a phone call from Jim apologizing for the mistakes and he gave me 3 options, they could give me a comcheck for the money owed, they could put it on next weeks check, or they could issue me a check right then and mail it home to me. I opted for the mailing home option.

I was outside yesterday pressure cleaning my driveway and who shows up? FedEx. I figured it was for my wife, she's a Realtor and is forever having FedEx picking up or delivering something at the house. I signed for the package and brought it inside to her. I went back outside and 5 minutes later here she comes with a check from Calex. Jim sent it over night. I usually would just have it put into my next weeks check but with all the payroll issues we've been having I decided on the money owed to be sent home. We are suppose to be having an outside payroll company taking over our payroll dept. I'm quite sure when that happens there will be even more issues.

Well it's that time again. I packed all my groceries and meals, put away my laundry and made my bed up in order to be able to stay home a little extra in the morning. I'm only 18 miles to my delivery and have a 7am appt. I'll leave the house at 6am and get to the consignee around 6:30.

Here's how boring my life is, I just posted some pictures of my rolling office.

The first one is the view out of my office window.
The second one is a view of my resting area.
The third one is a picture of my entertainment center for my viewing pleasure.
