I didn't either, but it adds up as you get older. Some people get high blood pressure and heart disease when young. Luckily I didn't. What can happen is you are more prone to leg and ankle swelling, and blood clots, from too much salt and sodas. This, and not enough water, added with long stretches of sitting are dangerous for people of all ages.

I don't ride over four hours max without stopping and walking for at least 10 minutes anymore, even if on an exit ramp walking from front to back of the truck. There used to be the days when I would run from one fuel stop to the other, but not anymore. Of course I had small tanks and 4 mpg trucks, but 8-10 hours or more anyway. I started seeing prople I knew have blood clots and die after getting out of the truck while rolling down landing gear. I decided a few minutes of exercise every 3-4 hours was worth the time to do it.

    AT, you are funny. :biggrin_2559:

They have already closed more than a half a dozen county school systems for Tuesday, due to the impending whiplash of ice coming later today.

    I should've kept my 4 wheel drive truck. :biggrin_25510:

I'll have to pass that on to Mrs. Wedge so she can give it a blast.

When you find that recipe for your hamburger stew, I'd appreciate it if you'd pass that along. Sounds like a tasty meal.:biggrin_25519:

12v stuff is a waste of money they never last, plus with a regular one I can take it home and use it there too...

    Hey A/T,
Hamburger stew basically same as beef stew just substitute ground chuck or ground sirloin for stew beef Susan say's the sirloin will be leaner but cost little more. Not as much grease to drain off. when its cooking or done grease will come to the top just dip it out with a spoon do not stir first, put it in the empty can and toss it.
Anybody ever try to cook hamburgers or stuff with the little electric grills?
Oh and the 12v crockpots are a little more than regular crockpot.
