Only reason I PREACH Central is that I personally had a good experience there! I also tell drivers that! To each is to own and every individual is going to have their own unique experience! You my friend are seriously kidding yourself if you think that sending people to these companies is good for them! Your 33 years must be local driving! WTF! Why are you bashing me when I am just trying to help people that don't know any better! Why don't you quit your bashing and whining and try helping people! Technically every company is a DOWNSIZED version of a mega-carrier or they wouldn't be a trucking company, braniac! Personally I could care less where people go to drive! I am getting sick of being attacked for making friendly recommendations! GO TO SWIFT, GO TO WERNER, GO TO ENGLAND! GUESS WHAT? I'VE MADE MY MONEY, WAS SUCCESSFUL AND AM RETIRED!!! DO YOU WANT TO TAKE MY ADVICE OR SOME BUM WHO BIT#### AND STILL STRUGGLING TO MAKE IT IN THE INDUSTRY!!! SO FLATBED DO YOU NEED SOME ADVICE? IF NOT, GET OFF MY BACK!!!

I'll back Chompi up on this one. I did manage to find a small company to take me on as a rookie (they helped me upgrade from a CDL-B to CDL-A too). Guess how much money my boss spends on advertising. A whopping $0.00. The small outfits who are willing to take a chance on inexperienced drivers are out there, it's just that you've got to do some legwork to find the job. Small companies don't come to you, you go to them.
Heck, I'm also getting some exposure to heavy, oversize, and equipment operation/ hauling.
It is most definitely possible, one just has to be willing and able to work for it.
In closing, if it were easy, everyone would be doing it!chompi and scottied67 Thank this. -

" Your 33 years must be local driving WTF" nice REPLY and what has that got to do with my ORIGINAL ?
KO1927 I agree with you , there are a lot of great smaller outfits but my ? to CHOMPI was not about them it was about the OVER abundance of drivers that the small outfits could not handle hiring and only the MEGA CARRIERS can.. -

I didn't think UPS hired people with such limited experience...
And your reason for leaving Prime would be a flag to me...You were getting paid for those miles, just because they didn't count towards something else should have been irrelevant...JMHO...scottied67 Thanks this. -
scottied67 Thanks this.
