You guys should have gone with Central, at least then they would have put you both with the same trainer and not split you up. That is what they did with another couple that was in the same class with me.

Sacramento is where I-80 & I-5 intersects.... And that intersection is about 3 minutes from our house.

Patterson, CA is about 2 to 2=1/2 hours south of us off of I-5

My Dad always told me that "there is only one way to argue with a woman! That is with your hat. Grab it and run!"
But my Dad was from the ol' school of men.
Me, I have learned the secrite to a happy marriage. That is two little words.
    They are "Yes Dear"!

I am sure either on of the logics will work for teams too... but using the 2nd one, you might want to be careful if as in my case right now with my trainer being my driving partner at this time.... "Yes Dear" just might not work with a 390 pound mexican... or any other male in that case... lol:biggrin_25514:

We picked up a loaded trailer in Stockton and we are now headed for Oklahoma City... we are setting at a rest top/ picnic area 35 miles from OK City.... Mike wants to spend the night here... why the heck he doesn't want to go another 20 miles up the road and hit the truck stop, I have not idea... He likes spending the nights in rest areas and off ramps, and when I can't sleep I am left here with nothing to do but crossword puzzels....

I have been living on dayquil (now on my third bottle)and advill (2nd bottle ) the past 11 days.
Mike keeps turning the "heat" off but leaves it turned on... He says it is too hot in the truck and then rolls the windows down. I don't know why he bothers... the passenagers door doesnt seal right and cold air blows through it and the driver's door I can feel cold air blowing around the door handle. Then there is the right seat, it will not hold air for more than 2 or 3 minutes....
Otherwise Mike is a nice guy but I have only been warn 4 times in the last 11 days, once when we stopped at my house for laundry and dinner, and the other 3 times was when we stopped and I got to take a shower at the truck stop....
All I can say is I only have 24 more days of it till I either upgrade and get my own truck or just say heck with it and this is not worth it!

    Zuma Thanks this.

We looked at Central but my wife wants to take the dog (MinPin) We went with US Xpress and we are pretty happy. I think three people in a truck would be tough. One of the good things about USX is training is only three to four weeks. Also, they "say" you get used to the refer unit but we have parked next to them in truck stops and they are loud.

Hey Nococraig, I wouldn't worry about the noise of the reefer. As a team you aren't going to be stopped anywhere sleeping! The biggest thing you have to get used to is sleeping while the truck is moving. It's like being on a rollercoaster in the dark! I recommend you bring some sleep meds or benadryl with you until you can get used to it. You can also buy a big jar of those foam earplugs from WAlmart. They work soooooo good! Another must have is a long body pillow. You can use it kind of like a kickstand to keep you from rocking back and forth. Make sure if you are running team that your mattress isn't a spring mattress. Try and get an all foam mattress. The ones with springs will have you bouncing around all over the place. A good thing to invest in also is "cheap sheets". You want sheets with real low thread count. The higher the thread count the more slippery they are. These are all key items for good team sleeping!

Go to Wal Mart and get on of those 4 inch thick memory foam matteress tops. Great sleeping, even while moving
