I didn't get the job because of lack of experience

Okay, I just read the first and last threads... the bottom line is that these cheap companies are trying to jam two rookies into every truck, whether the licenses held by these "drivers" are legit or not. Believe me, plenty of 'em are NOT valid. This whole "pushing-the-rookie-team-driving" thing is an evil product of the recession, greaseball insurance companies, and HR douchebags looking to strike back at drivers who told 'em to take a hike back in the day... No big deal, there have been PLENTY of heller death wrecks already as a result of this ILL-ADVISED POLICY, and, unfortunately, there shall be MORE HELLER FATALITY WRECKS before these greaseball outfits and insurance companies realize that EXPERIENCE COMES AT A PRICE!!!!!!! To hell with so-called "deregulation..." It's high time that OTR Drivers formed another national union, and piss on these greaseballs skimming off the top, trash who rake in bucks while OTR Drivers and the motoring public suffer... can't stress this enough, especially in light of the current state of economic affairs. I just hope the trash get criminally indicted or exposed in short order... U.S. citizens shouldn't be placed at risk on national roadways just because greaseball outfits wanna pay minimum wage to foreign nationals who can't speak a word of God-###### English. Enough said... Real Americans won't have any problem with what I say... as for the rest, go back to where ya belong, and take your 1200 illegal relatives with ya!!!!!!

WOW I hope you are not talking about Watkins and Shepard, they are far from any bottom feeder cramming 2 drivers in every truck, my truck nor any other truck here has no more then one driver, except those who want to team, there are a few of thowe like a husband and wife, I wouldn't be here if I had to team, I like my privacy, I'm not teaming for no company, I can not sleep in a moving sled, I don't know what is happening out there while I try to sleep so I can run my shift. I have to agree with you abour these companies that don't pay well, this company will pay you everything you have earned.

The day is just gettin started but i agree Im old school and have seen it all but it is about to get worse and I might have to hang it up and retire.

 

Heck i'd work for 25cpm all day. They may take anyone with a pulse but a pulse and a 4 year old misdemeanor is a different story. Earned CDL 11/2010 so the inexperience dosen't help either. Remember theres always someone else out there worse off. There are people better off as well but thinking about that never put a smile on my face.

 

What happen? The job just not for you or did something happen? Hope everything is ok and it's your choice to hang it up.

Hell,i was making 36 cpm back in the early 90's pulling dry vans.
Now these companies think that is BIG money!

All of these jobs offering 25 cpm or 10 to 12 bucks an hour but want a professional driver.....screw them!
Trucking has went down the crapper compared to my rookie days.
That is what he is talking about.
