And to think, my first year of driving I wasted my time in a stripped down International 9200, pulling dry boxes, with a C-12 and a 9-speed, only grossing about $44K my first year. Boy did I ever miss out!

I really don't think this makes them a bad company at all. As drivers we are presented with unpredictable situations on a daily basis. As drivers we have to react to the situation in the proper manner or suffer the consequences. When any company hires a driver they are putting their name and reputation on that driver.

I know, I really had it bad my first year. And to think, Instead of my take home pay being between $600-$1000 a week my first year I could have driven a shiny Black Pete.

That Pete Looks real nice when you're laying over for days with no load, and taking home a whopping $250 per week if you're lucky.

They do warn the recruits. My husband made it through. He said they tell people straigh up that most of them won't make it and what is expected of them. they tell them halfway through that they have their eyes on recruits, watching who is going to get cut. I have to agree it is a bit much for orientation. Just wait til he gets his own truck. My husband has had nothing but problems with his fleet manager. He finally had enough and called to get a new one.

they let they guy my hubby was rooming with go because he had a bit of trouble reading English. He was German and could speak the language clear enough. Obviously read it well enough to get a CDL. They guy even told TMC upfront but they let him in anyway only to cut him half way through.
