ok except for log violations like over on my 11 and on my 70 .this is what i have done . about a month our so ago i was at a steel plant in pa. when i got there i positioned my self to back into the door to get loaded.soon after i was told i could drive in and was very happy about that lol. i put it in drive and and went around the only other truck in the parking area took a wide birth to didnt look in the mirrors ( can hear my trainer yelling at me know lol ) . trailer was to close and my back tire hit his bumper and bent it back and broke of his turn signal . to me and the pics not much damage to the o/o the end of the world lol but i dont blame him and i apologized to him 3 our 4 times . it was done nothing i could do to change it. then yesterday (01 25 11) i was going into the toll both on i 95 in baltimore . i was lined up to go thru it and dont no how but my front axle on the trailer hit the curb and blew out the rim. didnt know it was me thaught it was the guys breaks next to me any way drove into the %$^$ up weight station after and when i came out of there a rim hit a curb on the other side of my trailer and well it was a bad morning and nothing i can do can take it back .im sure most if not all of you will say it is my fault and you are right it is not saying it isnt . just that i didnt do it on purpose and i have only been behind the wheel three months could have done something besides fireing me and puting me back in the hole i was just getting out of

The problem with damaging the O/O's truck is that if the carrier screws the O/O over on the claim he is out of pocket and the money to effect the repairs PLUS the downtime/lost revenue. Not a big deal to you but it COULD be a huge deal to a struggling O/O.

Yes, #### does happen, I personally think you had too much #### happen (based on your own explanations) in a short period of time.

Similar thing actually happened to me in 2000, only I was pulling a loaded trailer from a dock door. Tight spaces. I pull out slowly, radios off and windows rolled down, looking back and forth. Just as my trailer almost clears the truck to my right, I look over and see the door has come unhitched and lodged (yes, lodged) in the corner of the sleeper of the Advance Auto tractor (no cab extenders). I stopped immediately. Didn't tear the door off, but warped it. However, the entire corner of the AA sleeper was pushed in from top to bottom. I could not believe it. The AA driver was super cool about it. It was about 2500 bucks worth, but I never saw it on DAC, I guess because it was not a DOT-chargeable accident. It did go down as preventable, even though the safety director seemed to hate to do it.

I did manage to close the door by doing the "slam and latch" maneuver.

Wow...did everyone post at once, or am I just getting slow in my old age? This was in response to Luzon's post about the "breezeway".

    I need to eat...

Would you have expected the company to hire you if any one of those three events occur during your driving test?
And yet you think that they should continue to employ you?
There insurance company will destroy them if they keep you. If they keep you, and you are involved in a collision resulting in injury or death the companies liability would be overwhelming. The personal injury lawyers would literally be killing each other to get that case.
