    Well this is my question.
If a planer can go around the DM, what is the job of the DM?
I thought it was the job of the DM to dispatch/manage that driver/team.
If the planer can do this with out even letting the DM know... there is something very WRONG with the system.

LadyK and I have talked about this already...
Our plan is NOT to turn down any load. No matter when what or where (depending on if we can do it with HOS)
If there is an HOS issue the reply will be, "We have an HOS issue with this load. Can we help by....." and work with the DM to get the load as far as we can... even if it is a "repower" load....

This way if we support the DM he will support us too....

    Lady K Thanks this.

    Update 1-28-11
Ok... This day started pretty good. Got to Costco last night. Our appointment wasn't till 0900am today. At 500am when they opened, we told them that the appointment wasn't till 0900 we asked if that was problem and they said yes... but only if you don't go to the dock to unload... So, we went to the loading dock and got unloaded 4 hours early.
OK... we are out of Costco 4 hours early and on our way to Fontana.
I was driving, and I got 98 miles from the AZ, Ca. boarder and got pulled over by an AZ. Trooper... There was an exit (exit 98) so I pulled over and stopped in the gore point toward the exit side. I was thinking that it would give the Trooper room and wouldn't have to worry about the passing traffic.
Come to find out, he pulled me over because one of the headlights were out. Well this has been a problem for about the last couple of weeks. My trainer likes these stupid HID headlights. He had problems with them going out before and changed them back to normal lights. But he decided he wanted them back because he thinks "they are sexy".
Anyway, Mike (my trainer) backed into a poll a few days before, and broke off a mud flap. He bought two new mud flaps and hangers.
So back to the Trooper, He sights me for the headlight, and for NOT having any reflective materials on the mud flaps. (Watching trucks on the way to Fontana, over half the trucks on the road did not have reflective material on the mud flaps, including the brand new 2011 International that was in the Fontana yard).
Also, to ad insult to injury, remember me stopping in the gore point? He sighted me for a "Lane Restriction violation - Gore point violation 28-644A1"

So, now with every thing else that has happened over the last 3 weeks, I have to decide if I want to press the issue and try for a new Trainer (there are people waiting for trainers right now) or just stick it out one more week then upgrade. Then I don't need to deal with him at all....

Worst part about this is... Mike acts like it is no big deal... but because of the Commercial License, I understand that even with this being a 'fix-it' ticket with the lane violation, there are still going to be points on my record now, and I sure there is going to be a fine involved too....
I think I am going to have a drink.... (Anyone have a ProJo Mocha?)

You know what is really bad about this... We have worked to keep lands open for Off Road Recreation (4 wheeling)
And I have to set, hold my tongue when this ####### sets an brags about running his 4x4 in creek beds and a lot of other places that he and his stupid ### friends have no business being in...
I think one thing I am going to do is, see what I can do to stop this crap from happening again....

Obvious this guy is a moron but just one more week. You will have the opportunity to write up a review of your trainer. Keep notes. I would try to stick it out, sitting and waiting sucks.

I have decided to stick it out....
I don't have the whole story yet but from what I have heard, there was a couple in my class that has had to take there trainer to HR to get him replaced... Kind of a perv... and visting the "massage" houses...

I think Central needs to "check into" some of their trainers now and then....
I'm not saying all of them are bad, there are good ones out there... but some are just out there for the free miles they are getting...
