American Trucker -
I did the same thing at a WA scale. Tokyo station, I was a dumb***
; I didn't see the "open" sign (that scale is never open!!!). The ticket was "failure to obey a traffic device/sign" a moving violation. I'm fairly certain ID/MT will view it the same.
That said, I've never met a trucker who says he/she hasn't done the same thing at some point. -
The way I understand it is that there is no points on c.s.a.for any traffic violation unless the officer does an inspection.

Gotta watch the one in WA on I5 north (first weigh station in WA coming out of Oregon). Most every state I've been through that have lighted open/close signs are green for open, red for closed. Not this one....sign says OPEN, not OPEN...sneaky bastages!

thars a dumb scale house off of 394 in IL. its the first exit for US 30. Why the need to jump off go 2-3 mi out of route just to scale then turn around to get back to 394 to head south again. that dont make sense you know.
not only a waste of time but for 30 not the 394 route which becomes 17 into 1.
Wut yall think? -
fmcsa 392.2c "failure to obey control device" so yes if the wrote it on an inspection you get csa points
and i think we have all done it at one time or another. i missed the one on I-55 n going out of MS, i was realy looking in the mirror for the next 5 ml till i was in TN.
