How Not To Respond To Police From Your Truck

i cannot BELIEVE that guy didnt get arrested. if he was in america he would of been clubbed tased mased and arrested within a minute of this video.

i have to hand it to that cop, he really held it together and that trucker is lucky he got away with a ticket.

 

I like the cops in NZ and AU. How do you keep that cool?. Got no problems with the Chippies out here, either. I deserved every ticket I ever got and a few they let me slide on when they saw I had a CDL driving in my car.

 

They just have have a laid back attitude compared to we Yanks, I guess. Lots of cops dont even carry guns over there, But I can see why this cop does.

Man you ain't joking! Smokie would have cuffed and stuffed us a LONG time ago. Talk about a professional policeman!!!

 

Time to respond, now that I've had time to cool off a bit.

The truck driver was a ####### idiot, there's no doubt about that. If he'd have played it smooth, he probably wouldn't have been fined. Who know what transpired before the video was shot? Maybe he hadn't had anything to eat all day... Maybe he had just been hassled by the cops for stopping somewhere else to try to get something to eat.

As for the narrator... I wanted to reach through the screen and yank his ####### testicles up around his neck. Same deal for the cop.

The underlying tone from both the narrator and the cop basically said, "Oh look, here's a stupid truck driver who actually has the balls to want something to eat. How dare him? ####### worthless bag of ####!"

"He didn't do his log book either... Kick him in the liver! Yeah! Punch his teeth down his throat! Ignorant truck driver!"

The truck driver may be ignorant, but it is the general public and corporate greed who have insured that no respectable person, with any level of intelligence, would be caught dead driving a truck for a living. And besides, those with lower intelligence make good punching bags, right?

I don't know how it is down under, but here in the states it's becoming increasingly harder to find a place where you CAN park the truck to get something to eat.

 

Yea he can say anything he wants, doesn't make it right though.

Oh but did he really, or did the cop just say that? Maybe he swat a fly? I surely couldn't see it in the video, just heard some random cop say it. Must be true...

This entire post is just crazy talk. Personal responsibility (or the lack thereof) is the theme of this video. The driver is a moron and should have been arrested. Any defense of this fool just sounds silly.

 

any cop can say anything he/she wishes, who are you to say it ain't right....?? did he insult the guy, berate the guy..??

what pray tell was an assumption, that it was NOT his beat (area) to cover, that he was never there and never saw a truck there before, did YOU NOT HEAR him say the guy must have stopped for a burger..???

the cop had a better angle/view than the camera guy did, and the cop saw the trucker swallow something...

maybe i do, maybe i don't, but YOUR attitude speaks volumes of YOU perhaps having had run-ins with the law...????

out of at least 38 posts now, you seem (to me) to be the only person sticking up for that jerk trucker.....HHMMmmmmm.........i think you are out-numbered.....why don't you just give it up now...?? you ain't gonna win anything by sticking up for that jerk

by you sticking up for him, you do "make it sound like" you have indeed had run-ins with the cops yourself......."birds of a feather" perhaps...????

 

You are obviously a truck driver and the gist of my post went way above your head. So let me explain it in terms that a truck driver can understand.

The general public has been conditioned through our wonderful media to hate truck drivers. Because of this, trucking companies have to fill the seats with people of less than stellar IQ numbers--normal people generally don't like being kicked in the teeth constantly. The companies gain the added benefit of being able to pay these people less because they don't know any better.

Now add a camera and a stupid reality show to the mix and what have you got? Great entertainment for mindless idiots who believe everything they see on the TV.

It is a vicious circle.
