I was listening to Ask A Trucker on the radio last night, and one of the segments was about drivers that have lost their jobs since CSA started. I'm wondering if anyone here has lost their job or if anyone knows a friend that lost their job because of these new regulations?

Being CSA only went into effect a month ago, if you have lost your job you really screwed up and probably would have been fired anyways.

You got that right Freebird. CSA2010 will be going back 3 years on every driver's record. We as drivers have zero access to whatever info they have on our driving record. Only an employer you're employed w/ can access it. Also; Let's say you received a speeding citation 2 years ago, but got found "not guilty" It will still be held against you w/CSA. Anytime a DOT officer, Trooper, or local cop scribbles something on a piece of paper, you are guilty. Got summons reduced or found not guilty in court? It doesn't matter, CSA says you're guilty.
Again, this is retro & will go back 3 years on every driver.
Sweet deal huh?Last edited: Jan 29, 2011

Don't you just love the liberty and freedom that you have here in the good old U.S.
Even an illegal alien has more "rights" than a truck driver. But then what do we do? Sit around and whine.
Civilservant Thanks this. -
I agree with you fallinangel. But their little program would be useless for three years if they didn't have some data to start with. So hence we are getting punished after the fact for old stuff. Kind of like coming home and beating your dog for crapping on the carpet ten hours earlier. He doesn't remember.

Here's a good knowledgable read.

You got this info from? A purge?

How many points can you have before you are disqualified? I found a place for what the infractions are and what the points are. Trying to get things put together for my boss on Monday. I don't have a problem but I can guarantee nobody at work has a clue about this and how it will effect them. It's a pretty big rock they live under
