This is one receiver that has their stuff together. I delivered there last Monday and had a 7am appointment. I had 48 pallets (all the same stuff). I arrived at 608 am, was immediately assigned a dock and given a pager. As soon as I was backed in they started unloading. About the time I had finished doing paperwork the beeper went off and I had a green light. I pulled out, slid my tandems and proceeded to the guard shack where I picked up my paperwork and received a thank you from the person working there. I was out the gate at 655 am. This is how it should be at every warehouse!!! I had never been here before so maybe it was just a good day but I was pleasantly surprised.

I wish I could get a dedicated run from somewhere like Atlanta .... to that place.

Did you get anything back out of there ???

Your experience explains why Costco has been one of the few success stories in these tough economic times. What a shame that others (retailers-shippers-receivers) do not pay attention and do the same.

All COSTCO'S are that way, they dictate to their suppliers how the stuff is to arrive so all it has to be is unloaded they're a very efficiently run operation. I've been to several of their facilities and its the same everywhere. They were the ones that started the pager system and thats been the best thing ever. it used to be you had to sit in the drivers room and wait to be called.
