Most companies allow riders but only in the summer time. Usually an age limit too. (for kids) Your best bet would be to get her license. You guys would make phenomenal money together!

After a few weeks of over the road training with a trainer, they would match you up with a student and you both would team drive for 6 months.......then either up grade to a solo or continue team driving.
I think they allowed a spouse (married) after a few accident free months once you upgrade.......but if your coming in as a student that could be almost a year.
They have a great website that explains everything in detail......or why not give them a call?
Make sure you spend sometime over in the company DAC section, that might answer all your questions and more. -

This video explains it all with little to wonder about:

I notice their information is very complete, but i dont see any policy about riders and its not included in the benifits section.....not a good sign -

Family Plan ?? Not sure what you mean? You mean your family riding with you? Not many of the mega fleets offer that anymore. You use to be able to take one child during summer months or one adult with permission and a fee for insurance. The last mega fleet I was with even stopped allowing one adult just before I left. I know have seen a few fleets list it as a benifit on their website, but most are the 2+ years expeirence companies. I'm sure if you keep looking might find a student training company that offers this program.....but not many.
They have 2 programs, the video link I gave was for a students coming to them with a class A, fresh from another school.Last edited: Jan 29, 2011

No, family plan means that you are an experienced driver, and your wife has just completed a 120 hour course of trucking school, and has her CDL Class A. She would be a student coming in with you.

I am curious about your "Family Plan" I was just on your site and would this be where my wife could be with me but not have to get her CDL? cause this for me is the most important decision in considering accepting any type of job for long term employment.
Thanks Nick Robinson
