she sure was, most of my days have been in cabovers, but the ride of the conventional was much smoother. At least you aint sitting right above the steers on 'em....
I've put a few of the rides in my photos. Had a collage made somewhere, now if I can just find the S.O.B, I'll whack that one up too
there it is....

Near new 1974 KW W900... Dirty Dozen, 15 over, two 36" sleepers bolted front to back, 300' WB, four 150 gallon fuel tanks... set-up to run the Al-Can Highway when it was still gravel.
I took a test drive in the truck and signed on to be the second driver running Seattle to Fairbanks hauling food stuffs for the pipeline crews (the Alaska pipeline was still under construction).
Never made a trip with the guy after I found out (from his last driver) that he wouldn't drive in rain, snow, fog, in the mountains or on the 1100 miles of gravel... he'd only wheel it to the end of the pavement and give the other guy the wheel... -

i own a 2010 Loanstar. I live in a trailer worth aprox. what my tires cost. To see it and my place check out my profile album. I do not know how to bring a pic. to this post. I'm new at forums and computers. This truck has it all. Wood floor, murphy style bed fridge the works. Whats best is the contols for cruise, radio, jakes and air horn are on the steering wheel.
